My interview is scheduled for august 13th,I have a 15 month old daughter ,Can I take her to the interview with me? I have no one to take care of her and my husband have an important meeting that he can not miss or postpone, I also can not leave her with a sitter because she is afraid of strangers.

The waiting area isn't set up for kids. Lots of chairs and a crappy TV. Also, the interview space isn't child friendly. Just a sea of office cubicles the last time I was there.

This is also an important meeting in your life too, don't you think?

I brought my 7 m.o. to my GC interview, no problem. Bring some toys for her to play in the waiting area in case you have to wait long, and probably some snacks, too. And try to keep her reasonably quiet.

In my office the interviews are held in separate rooms, pretty comfortable.

At my interview there were a number of people there with young children. The prepared ones brought toys and games for their children and they were quietly playing on the floor or chairs by their parents. One family group didn't, however, and their kids kept running through the waiting room until the officer in charge told the parents to keep them quiet or take them out. The children were obviously fussing about having to sit still so after about 5 minutes, one of the individuals with that group took the children out while the others remained. So, be prepared to keep your daughter occupied so that she isn't disruptive for the others in the room and you should be fine. Most of the citizenship interviews seem to be pretty good at being on time or close to it, so hopefully she won't have to wait very long.

I brought my then 22 month old to my GC interview with no problems. Be prepared to bring snacks and toys!!! Congrats again on the upcoming interview!
