hi... this andy lambert is a friend of mine so i suggested him to be a member here...coz he keep on asking me on which papers or documents should he fill-up for his girlfriend.he's planning to visit her either November this year or January next year.he is planning to marry her there in the Philippines which is going to be their first time meeting...what is he suppose to do?

Your first step is to get married.

From what I have read in the past, it's not that easy in the Philippines. That's why I opted to bring my fiance here and marry her here. You need to make sure you will be able to get married when you go there. My understanding is that you need to get "approval" first, which can take some time, especially being a foreign citizen.

And really...

You DO NOT need a lawyer IF you read carefully and FOLLOW instructions... triple checking everything.

The only time you should get a lawyer is IF you feel that inappropriate situations has taken place.

If you're unsure, then use an immigration lawyer only to review your paperwork and provide you input, and pay ONLY a small fee for that service. I paid $100 for 1 hour of their time. Do not try to use them to fill anything out for you.

You save BIG bucks. Good luck

"their first time meeting" and getting married right away??.. just a suggestion, tell your friend to get to know him first and file K1 instead of CR1..
