Same here. I called, and they said that VSC was currently processing applications from March 19. They said to call back in two weeks, and then they should be able to put in a service request.

This being a VT APRIL 2012 thread - I'll chime in!

NOA1 04/18/2012...waiting, waiting, sweating, starting to stress a lot now, but I MUST be PATIENT for myself and even more-so for my fiancee. as well as strong and calm EVEN when she is blowing up on ME, like I have control over the process. Sorry for writing that, but I'm certain others are in the same boat. So HANG in there we will get processed and hopefully approved!!

Yea, this whole waiting game is a pain on all of us.

Also, you are at VSC but keep in mind this is a IR1/CR1 thread, the K1 and CR1 timelines are not the same, K1 is about one month more wait as per VJ timelines.

Good Luck.

Hey people my pd is April 2 and m still waiting :( can anybody tell if the congressman really helps in all this stuff ???????

Unless you have a reason to request a formal expedite request there is very little a congressman or senator can do. I once had a senator expedite my file. I was pregnant at the time and did not want to give birth alone...in addition to being depressed. I was a mess back then.

I-130 mailed: 6/11/12

NOA1: 6/14/12

Touched: 6/19/12

and so we wait

I was unaware of the time frames and how things worked so we asked my husbands senator to see if he could perhaps get things "chased up" for us. This was around the 3 month mark. He managed to get in touch with USCIS and he said he would get the case made a priority once we hit the 5.5 month point. I dont know how much truth is in that but I am hoping we will get our NOA2 done before I have to find out. So who knows. I take it as "if you dont give it a go you wont know".

how would I know my case has been tourched? I have seen people talking about "tourch"

Thannks

If you log into your account on USCIS, it should show you the last time USCIS worked on your file. This is not the same as putting your case number in. You create an account first, and then add your case number to your account. Once it is added, whatever date shows under "Last Updated" was when it was last "touched."

You can sign up for case updates here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp
