Hello,

I want to tell you my story,i came here in the US on 14th Jan, and my I-94 form allowed me to stay here until 13th Jul, but the problem is that i found out that that i am pregnant and i decided to stay over visa and find a solution to my problem.

My bf is working in the Army and he will be deployed in Afganistan next year, and we need to know what steps we should do.

We are planning on marrying but not right now, but now being pregnant i will need to go to the doctor, and i don't have a SSN and i don't know can i get one in order to help me with the doctor's appointments.

Please, i really need some advises because we cannot afford a lawyer

If you cannot afford a lawyer, how are you going to pay for the medical bills for having a baby in the US?

Further, overstaying your visa can complicate issues in the future

I know it is scary and uncertain, but do you have options for having your baby back home?

Good luck

As to my experienced i work in Healthcare facility,i have seen so many undocumented pregnant women seen by private physicians with a benefit of Packaged "E" Emergency Medicaid, which means only for Pregnancy-- E.R visits are not covered or Labor Triages in OB units are not covered as well but Delivery is covered not sure if this benefits are different each states but you could inquire about it.

You can marry now and apply to stay based on the marriage, or you can go home. Otherwise you will just be staying illegally. Why not get married now? You cannot get a SSN. You do NOT need a SSN for doctor appointments.

AOS for my husband

Even if you get married, chances are his insurance will not cover your pregnancy because it is a pre-existing condition. If you're not planning to get married right away you are best served by returning to your home country so he could apply for a fiancée visa when you decide to marry, knowing that your overstay may delay the process. If you want to marry right away, you can also return home after the wedding and he can fill out a petition for you to return to the US as a legal permanent resident.

Staying in the US with your expired I-94 renders you in the category of illegal immigrant, which is not a good idea, especially if you're pregnant.

I wish you well whatever decision you make.

If I understand correctly he is in the military? If so his medical (TRICARE) will take care of all medical needs. Get married quick and do all the needed paper work.

Good catch. In that case I would suggest either marrying the fellow or returning home immediately.

If he really wants to marry you, then THIS is the time to do it. By remaining single+pregnant+out of status, your living in this country will be a serious struggle.
