Thanks for your response! So I am guessing the oath ceremonies are held in multiple locations, were you given a choice? Do you happen to know where else they are held in addition to Bridgeport?

I am wondering how long it takes after you submit extra evidence for them to make a decision. I passed my interview on Dec 13th, was told my fingerprints were unreadable, told to get police check for any state I'd lived in for past 3 years and send in paperwork by Jan 12th. I did it on Dec 28th and had it signed for at USCIS. Just don't know how long they take to look at it. :clock:

Update! Just checked my status online yesterday "On January 21, 2013, we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled." So I now await a date for my oath ceremony!

I think Hartford is 1st Friday, New Haven 2nd Friday, Bridgeport 3rd Fri of the month - there may be another location as well on the 4th Fri. but that seems to be their schedule. I wasn't given a choice (and didn't ask specifically - I just wanted the next available date).

Update for me:

Had my interview today - passed! I am SO happy! star_smile.gif

My oath is tomorrow morning. Can't believe how lucky I am to get an oath ceremony so soon.

It's particularly wonderful as it means I can travel to Australia sooner to see my father who has been critically ill for some time. There was a long stretch of time where I was worried he would pass before I got my citizenship and got home to see him. God willing I'll get to see him yet.

Good luck to all of you who have interviews soon, and a big congratulations to those who have passed the interview/waiting on their oath ceremony or just completed their oath ceremony. kicking.gif

Congratulations to everyone above, si man.

As of yesterday, we're finished with the USCIS process. :) Would appreciate someone's making the final update to the running list, si man.

However, we got skunked after the ceremony in trying to update status with the state DMV and with Social Security, and in applying for passports, sigh man. Will post revelations, probably tonight, in the "Houston Oath Ceremony" thread or whatever the title is.

Good luck to all here who are still proceeding, major si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Yeah, I took my wife to the ceremony in Houston yesterday. It is a large event. Thankfully we got there areound 8:15 and only wait 15 minutes to get in, so I am happy with that timing. I know the sheriff so we got some cool pics but overall just a long ceremony for over 2,000 new citizens. I guess for most it was moving so good for them. Congrats to those that did.

Thanks for the info! My interview is on 2/7 (Thursday). I see that yours was on a Thursday as well - did you mean Thursday was too late to be scheduled for you to have the oath ceremony the same Friday?

That's what they told me... they told me I was a day late for scheduling for the current week Friday oath ceremony. I was scheduled for the following Friday. I assume it has something to do with numbers too - perhaps they were full? There were 64 at my ceremony (a PACKED courthouse - they had to bring in 13 extra seats).

ok thanks! Bridgeport is infact the closet location for me since I am based down in fairfield county, we'll see! What time was your interview? Also, is parking an issue in Hartford? Once again, really appreciate your responses!
