Congratulations on the I-130 approval. Start calling the NVC within 2-3 days of your NOA2, to find out if they have received your paperwork. Good luck and let us know how your case progresses.

My I 130 is for my husband. he is currently residing in india. i am hoping for an interview in september lets c wat happens.

thanks for the reply

It is taking about a month for the NVC to receive a case from USCIS and about another week to enter it into their system. You won't received anything until at least that point. Please hop over to the July NVC thread and folks will help you out.

September would be optimistic. Generally, it takes another 3-4 months from your NOA2 up until your interview date. Good luck!

This is not necessarily true....you are just reporting what you experienced.

We just received our GUZ######### today. USCIS approval was June 8. I started calling NVC around June 18 about 2 - 3 times per week then at business day 15 after the approval was told to send a request to research where the dickens the approval was. On 8 July I received notice that it had been received and "wait 6 to 8 weeks for an email from NVC...". I called 2 to 3 times a week after that, requesting my case number. I was told 3 times that the notification had been received on 2 July but not scanned. Once I was told that the notification had been received on 6 July and that the other informants were wrong. Everyone at NVC that I spoke with told me to call back on or about 27 July because the NVC is running about 15 business days behind reception time. I believe the arrival date was 2 July so that means that NVC is about 11 days behind at this time. If 6 July was the actual arrival time then backlog is shorter. Or, perhaps they were tired of my voice and accelerated my paperwork. So, there is no harm in calling and it may move things ahead for you. Keep your cool and do not be rude, swallow your impatience; those things will get you nowhere.

Paul

I wish NVC would accept PayPal. Who carries a checkbook these days? (for bank routing number, sheesh!)

I don't want to discourage you but just want to help you to set your expectations accurately. People (those who are expecting an interview at Mumbai Consulate) who got their case complete at NVC in July are still waiting for an interview date in September. So logically you cannot have your interview in September. Earliest would be October only if your case is complete in next 15 to 30 days, otherwise expect for November month.
