Can I add additional "evidence" to my I-129F packet after is already approved by USCIS?

I first heard about "front loading" your I-129 F application for a K-1 visa on this website. Is there any way for me to add more evidence (though I was not asked for more evidence) to my approved packet while it is at the National Visa Center, before being sent to the embassy in my fiancés country?

Or should I just send the additional evidence to him for the interview? I have read here that sometimes in Lagos, Nigeria they don't look at more evidence the beneficiary has brought.

Thank you in advance for help.

I also heard about front loading your I-129F petition package on here, but it was after I had already sent it in. Originally, I sent in the app with pictures and a few other things. I then had doubts about not front loading it more and decided to send in more evidence with a copy of the NOA 1 and a brief letter explaining that I would like for the additional documents to be included with my original packet that I sent in. I never heard anything back, but 2 months later our petition was approved. In your case, since your petition was already approved, I wouldn't mess with it. It's your choice and if it would make you feel better the do it; but if they're not asking for it, I would just bring it to the interview.

Your petition likely won't stay at the NVC long enough to have any extra items matched to it. You will be better off sending it on to the beneficiary with your other documents (e.g. I-134, etc.).

Part One: The K-1 Visa Journey:

USCIS Receipt of I-129F: January 24, 2012 | Petition Approval: June 15, 2012 (No RFEs)
Interview: October 24, 2012 - Review | Visa Delivered: October 31, 2012

Part Two: Entry and Adjusting Status:

POE: November 18, 2012 (at SFO) - Review
Wedding: December 1, 2012 | Social Security: New cards received on December 7, 2012.
AOS Package (I-485/I-765/I-131) NOA1: February 19, 2013 | Biometrics Appt.: March 18, 2013
AP/EAD Approved: April 29, 2013 | Card Received: May 6, 2013 | AOS Interview Appt.: May 16, 2013 - Approved Review Card Received: May 24, 2013

Part Three: Removal of Conditions:

No need now, and as others have pointed out, very unlikely it would get matched up anyway. All you had to show in the I-129F was proof of meeting in the last two years. As long as you did that, you're going to be OK.

The idea with frontloading is that some of us think it takes some of the burden off the interview, as they've already had some time to go through it, see some of your evidence. But at this point, just make sure have anything else ready for the interview, and all that might happen is that they might spend a bit more time going over those things in your interview if it wasn't included in the I-129F.

I also think trying to send in additional stuff is dangerous, here's why. It might make them suspicious, as 'front loading' is often considered risky too from some countries. The idea being that people committing fraud, so worried about getting caught, send in WAY too much stuff.

I think you'll be fine. Just prepare now for the interview and have all that available there! And good luck!

Like others have said you would have to just send with fiamce' to interview. You won't be at NVC long not like the spousal Visa where we are ther for weeks and adding you can. This is Lagos so just make sure if there is evidence he wants to be seen make it known. Tell him to answer the question and demonstarte with evidence good way to get in in. Like so how do you communicate show the extra evidence so they can see ongoing. How many times she visit show pics and stamps and stuff, etc.

You are in the home stretch now Congrats.

NVC absolutely would not add any additional evidence to the petition package. That would essentially be changing the evidence supporting a petition that has already been approved by USCIS. NVC doesn't have the authority to do that.

WOW for real cuz this has been much discussion on the Nigerian forum and those saying they were going to send in more evidence and all that. If they don't add than what do they do with all that extra stuff?

Your paperwork is at the NVC a very short time. They basically just check the USCIS work and enter it into the system, and then forward it on to the embassy in your fiancés country.

It would do no good to try and send the NVC anything.

That's completely untrue. NVC (as spoken by many NVC agents and people who have sent info to NVC\) sends everything to the embassy that they receive. Of course, it may hurt or help your case and it's at one's own risk but they do send what they have. Also, for a K1, it may not get there in time so it doesn't make a lot of sense. But for CR1, they send everything that is received with the immigrant visa application. It's up to the consulate or embassy to throw out the information.

As for your case, no need to send NVC additional information. Send it with your fiance. It's going to be fine.

False...you can send additional evidence to NVC as a spouse (been there done that). Evidence will be forwarded to the Embassy and the consulars read through it.

As they have stated, it's not there long enough for a fiance to add anything.

Since this is the K-1 forum and the OP is filing a K-1, I'm pretty sure Jim was referring to the OP and not spousal petitions going through NVC.
