Why does it even matter. If it was up to me the blue squares and hearts would be gone. Just encourages people to post meaningless replies to run their count up.

Zero chance. I somehow doubt the data base can differentiate between whats meaningful and whats not. I mean I have seen plenty of posts from people who wouldn't give a hoot about blue dots and what they have posted is total ####### lol

I'm not a computer expert, but I believe Ewok said when date base grows as large as VJ had become it has problems and I was just saying that the blue dots and hearts serve no purpose, other than giving some people a reason to post. Not the only reason for the problem, but a contributing factor.

Do the blue dots and hearts really serve any purpose other than showing everyone how many times you have posted?

Data base corruption can and does occur regardless of size. The data jumbles for whatever reason. A very simplistic way of describing it is.......lets say there is 3 drawers in a filing cabinet A-H I-P Q-Z Everything is filed away correctly. Then something moves some files from A-H and puts them into Q-Z....there is corruption and the path is lost. Very hard to find where the corruption is hence why using a backup is usually done. Corruptions can also be hardware problems.

I guess the blue dots and hearts is a distraction for many. One can do both....join in the race for dots and hearts, as well as immigration imput. Some may not but overall I think members do.

I'm proud to say that I'm the slowest at getting there. Plus hearts. Hearts are so 2005. I'm at 600 now, woo hoo.

I'm slower than you are. :) I'm only at 490 or something. And I joined back in '04. Oh well.

05/05 - Entered US
10/3 - Mailed I-485 and I-765
10/14 - NOA1 for AOS and I-765.
10/22 - I-485 Biometrics NOA received, appt 11/15
10/27 - Touched on both I-485 and I-765.
10/31 - I-765 Biometrics NOA dated 10/24. Appt on 11/29 at 12PM.
11/15 - Biometrics for I-485 and I-765 done on same day.
11/16 & 27 - Case "touched" on bcis.gov.
12/7 - EAD approval by e-mail. Card is on its way. Thank you Lord!!
12/12 - Received EAD.
1/9/06 - Applied for SSN. Received 1/17
3/30 - Got our AOS Interview notice!! Interview date 5/31
5/31/06 - Permanent residency granted! Passport stamped IR6. God is so faithful!

2/2/16 - Mailed in N-400 paperwork

2/10/16 - Received text that N-400 paperwork was received.

2/16/16 - Text that fingerprint appointment has been scheduled.

3/1/16 - Biometrics interview, Naperville, IL

3/11/16 - E-notice that case is in line for an interview

7/8/16 - Text/site updated that Interview date has been assigned

7/14/16 - Received letter dated 7/11 with interview date on 8/11
8/11/16 - Interview, given paper that said passed test but no decision can be made at this time.

10/18/16 - Received text, status online updated to say oath ceremony has been scheduled!!!!

Well, I guess I'm not too far off it, but still :( that sucks!

What a tragedy! ):

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

What the hell is a platinum status? Is that like a forum rank (like the one I had/have), or is it a paid membership?

um, check out under your avatar etc... yours says Platinum member :P:lol: that means you have Platinum status and you can now change the title...
