Awww u are sweet thank you. Is it me or does moving from one phase to the next just heighten the adrenaline and anxiousness and in my case lack of brain power. Case in point I have had the DS-230 form filled out for husband since like last May when I was with him in Nigeria. So now plugging in some changes why do I just notice in the address section they just want City and Town. Good Lord I had the whole blasted address.headbonk.gifheadbonk.gif I need some 4th, 5th, 6th eyes. At least my initial petition I looked at it carried it for 10 months before filing LOL

Just checked the USPS tracking site, and our IV and I-864 packets were delivered today, so that is good news.

I am pretty certain I'll get an RFE though. For the 'copy of bio page of valid passport' I only sent the photocopy of the one bio page w/photo. But it seems that meant I needed to send a copy of the entire passport. (I am making a lot of dumb mistakes in this part of the process.) So I think I will ask my husband to go ahead and copy his whole passport and mail it ASAP, so we can get it to them. I understand you can do this even if you haven't yet received an RFE?

Good luck to everyone out there, and be more careful than I have been! It will save you time and sanity.

You're not making dumb mistakes, you're just in a learning curve like the rest of us...we're all working on our degrees in Immigration!. Have him scan it in and email it too you. Print it out in color. You should be fine. No use in the extra money sent to mail it since you only need a copy. Use mail for original documents you have to submit!

Just called NVC, and still got a "not received/reviewed yet" for our DS 230 package received 7 days ago, on June 26th. Will try tonight, hope they arent taking a lazier break day because of the holiday tomorrow.

No DS230 approval today :( Still getting "not received" when called again.

According to the operator, they only do these reviews in the mornings. Thought these get done for 7 days for everyone now :(

Hi all, dunno where to post but i wanted to share this excitement news :D

our case completed!! it was on June 26, OMG! I'm so relieved now.

now another waiting game, how long does it take till we get an Interview date? (the average?? guesstimate? hhmm) i haven't done my medical exam yet, will do, may be when after we get the date :D

NVC told my husband that they are waiting for the embassy (jakarta) to set up an interview date

Congrats!! Interview date should be out in a couple of weeks...GL!

Eeeee! Just off the phone with NVC and our case was completed yesterday! Seems they finally got around to reviewing our response to their checklist!

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Saylin and everyone else on here who got us through this process! I seriously would have gotten a few extra grey hairs if it wasn't for the helpful folks on here. Cheers!

congrats!!

I did the exact same thing because I did not know exactly "what" I was doing in the first place. Just a phone number listed is not an acceptable form of advising people "what" to do if they have never did this before. Fortunantly, I reordered them today and I am waiting on my case number from NVC to be assigned. But Friday will be 15 business days and now I will be waiting another couple of weeks for my "tax transcripts"...not my "account transcripts"!!! Had it not been for my son's financial aid office point this out to me this morning, I would have sent off my AOS incorrectly! So thankful that this was brought to light before I forwarded the documentation, although I do have my W-2's and a copy of my actual return for each year included. I'm going to write a procedure on doing this the correct way.

waahhh still waiting on my tax return to be processed so I can go to the office itself! Wah!! And yeah! Glad you said something because I was unsure at first and decided on tax return transcripts. Phew...

I am so excited. Just got 2011 Transcript (just ordered last week ) and it is addressed to my full name & husbands full name our address. So excited we are so official now. Don't you love evidence.what's interesting is I filed Jointly (meant to file separate since I had no SS# or ITN) well gosh if they didn't process. I guess since I wasn't getting a refund nor paying its ll good. Phew.shocked.gif

Nice!!

:pop: Nope...and if they don't get me a case number soon, I will have to order a larger seat on the plane!

For real!! While I was reading these I just popped a whole container of blueberries...luckily they were blueberries this time...:pop:
