G-325A question

I have a question about the G-325A. my fiancee filled the form out on my last trip to manila and printed her name on the bottom but did not sign or date the form in the signature section. can i send in a scanned copy that has her signature. (think i just got my answer by reading further down the step by step page. anyone ever send in scanned docs and got approved before?

Im thinking about scanning it, have her sign it and email it back to me and then just write a page that explains why its not the original signature. Ghezzzz, i dont want to wait two months. i do have a trip planned in September. if the original will not be accepted, then it may be better to wait and have her resign then.

Well my Fiance sent the G325A twice when we initially filed cause she did not include her parents information. I'd rather delay (2 weeks) filing and getting it right then sending it in and getting an RFE later in the process, it's hard enough to wait 4 - 5 months without having to deal with an RFE that may add additional time.

Mail from Phils seems to take between 7 - 10 working days to reach US (From QC to CAlifornia, SF bay area).

No no no, all forms need an ORIGINAL signature only, so she will have to mail it.

Absolutely, she has to mail it. However, you can scan the one, email to her, she can print it out, sign it, and use FedEx and DHL to mail it back to you. Not cheap, maybe $50 even. But in the grand scheme much cheaper than the time delay you will get if they send you an RFE!

To Teg, if you have no CLUE what you're talking about, please don't respond here. Telling him it's OK when it's 100% NOT OK to send a scan.

But it certainly won't take 'weeks' to rememdy.

As I said, scan the form filled out, have her print it out and sign it, sign and date, and DHL back to you.

But that's taking the risk of having a RFE. If you didn't get one, consider yourself lucky.

she can download a new form and fill it out again and then sign and send it to you it will only take 7 working days using PhilPost and 2-3 days using DHL

From all I've been reading in the last few days, you might actually get away with a scanned copy. I doubt that the person there is going to take out his magnifying glass and inspect the signatures. Since most people sign in black ink, hell, you'd probably get away with it.

BUT. If not? If they issue you an RFE and you're delayed, was it work it? Better to wait 2 to 7 more days for her to send it to you, than risk an RFE which will certainly take more time than that.

You're going to have to wait 4 to 5 months anyway, what is another week to make sure it's done right.

I would scan it and send it in, but in the meantime have your fiancee sign an original and mail it back to you. If they send you a RFE for the signature, you already have the signed copy and can respond right away.

They require original signatures on the forms. Have her send you another one. FedEx costs roughly Php1,500, and can deliver the package in 3 days.

You can take the risk by sending a scanned signature, but if you do get an RFE for it, your case could be delayed by up to a month. 3days VS possibly 1 month delay. It's your call.
