The question is formulated wrong. Instead of asking "how many pictures?" Ask "what pictures?"

The key to using photos as part of the evidence is quality over quantity.

You can send 1,000 pictures of you and your SO in the same location, during the same time frame and it won't help you one bit.

Or,

You can send 10 pics with different backgrounds, different haircuts, different situations and seasons etc. and it will prove a lot.

Remember, they want to see evidence that you're spending time/vacations/holidays together over a period of time, not that you're able to pose for a camera for a single 1,000 picture shoot.

This being said, Sydney is a «friendly consulate.»

TBoneTX is absolutely correct.

I sent in two low quality pictures and had no issues. Photos *are* considered secondary evidence. Passport stamps and boarding passes/tickets/etc are considered to be primary.

I went through Montreal, which is an easy consulate, such as Sydney. Very low fraud. There's no need to send a photo album like some other members would advise you. It's consulate specific. :)

Photos are secondary evidence. USCIS won't care about them. The number that you send may depend on how difficult your consulate is known to be.This answer is irresponsibly breezy. Read the reviews and "embassy info" (atop any VJ page) for insights about your consulate.

Not always true. My petition only had secondary evidence, and went through no problem as i initially thought it would. Only photos and ticket itenaries. After joining VJ, i got very worried about RFE because everyone said this wasn't enough, and you needed passport stamps or boarding passes, receipts and such... But instructions said only to include evidence you meet in past 2 years and was not very specific beyond this. So from this i figured the itenaries of us having a common flight together, along with a photo of us actually on the airplane together was enough, and it was (as well to boot, our passport photos had cryllic markings and were obviously from the same photomat in Ukraine, though i did not mention this in any text). It is to provide better than reasonable doubt of meeting the conditions which is most important.

As example, just because you have a passport stamp or boarding pass, does not prove you actually meet someone.

Did you guys send those pictures in with your initial i129 petition or at a later date?

When did you send the other evidence? Or did you just bring it to the interview?

they must go in with initial petition, this is all i sent without RFE. At interview, i will also have photos with her family.

Hi guys, sorry if I've caused any problem. But to clarify, I was aiming to send a few photos with the initial petition. My consulate will be the Sydney one. I'll be taking other evidence with me to the consulate at interview date yeh? More photos, passport stamps, flight itineraries, letters etc... Will the Sydney consulate accept these when the interview happens?

You will need more than "just" photos for evidence of meeting in past 2 years. (for 129f petition). The more dated material the better. You need to submit evidence you have meet in person in past 2 years.

We included several photos with the petition, and took a batch to the embassy as well. A few points:

1) T-Bone was right, embassies are different, and some are tougher than others - so reading the embassy review can be helpful.

2) Sending photos will not hurt your petition. We focused on pics of both of us with Vika's family in Ukraine. There were no dates on them, other than what I wrote on the back.

3) Going to the interview can be helpful. There are some embassies where the petitioner is not allowed to attend, so check. Standing next to your SO during the interview is absolute proof that you met face-to-face during the past two years.

With our I-129f we sent copies of both our passports stamps showing entries into us and uk, scanned in copies of bOarding passes, a few e tickets, bank statements from both of us showing we were both in same place at same time and 19 colour photos. Some of the photos were dated on front, others weren't but they were all taken in obviously different locations (London, Las Vegas, San Diego, Rome). 19 photos is probably a lot but it wasn't going to harm us (postage cost around $9 for entire package) and it makes our petition look stronger. Good luck

April 30th 2011 Met in Las Vegas, NV at Paris Resort and Casino

June 4th 2012 Mailed I-129F from Salt Lake City, UT to Dallas, TX

June 6th 2012 Received in Dallas

June 11th 2012 Text/E-mail of NOA1

June 14th 2012 Received hardcopy of NOA1

August 16th 2012 Received text/e-mail of NOA2

August 27th 2012 NVC received petition

Sep 3rd 2012 Received Packet 3 from London Embassy

Ok thanks heaps for clearing all that up guys. The only thing I'm left worrying about now is my petitioner USC fiancé neglected to keep her boarding passes from the previous 2 times she came out here. If we log in to expedia.com it has 'completed' trip information available to print. Would this suffice for proof of the trip as well as passport stamping coinciding with the said dates? Surely that would be ok... ?

Sounds like your getting there. Check for atm or credit card receipts. Secondary is bank or credit card statements showing the purchases at said time. If you have it, send it and you will worry less.

at the interview you talk on a phone to the io through the glass on the bottom of the glass is a one inch opening, your photo albulm won't fit, you have to show him through the glass or take some pictures out an pass them under the glass, it's best to take around 15 photos, loose different places and different dates togather,
