Hi all,

If my Grandmother is citizen and has been living here for over 8 years. Now she wants to start a family union with her Daughter in Albania which is married and has one child over 18. Now my question is, how long does it take the process for my grandmother to bring her daughter here. And if any one has time to explain to me step by what step what do i have to do first.

Thanks in advance for any response.

file the i130. she should have filed for her as soon as she became a USC, since the wait is 10 or more years.

When the child is over 21 it takes a very long time. and because you will be over 21 you have a wait of over 20 years, ( 10 for your mother to come and 10 for your petition as adult child of LPR. Also you must remain single. ( I am assuming you are the grand child mentioned if not "the grandchild" has a 20 year wait )

10 years, That is a lot of time... i have heard that it takes in average of 3 years ???

Take a look at the Visa Bulletin http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_5712.html

Unmarried Children are F1. Currently 7 year wait. Longer for Mexico and Philippines.

Married Children are F3. Currently 10 year wait. Longer for Mexico and Philippines.

It would have been 8 years quicker if she had petitioned 8 years ago.

actually if the middle person was over 21 then ( probably so with an adult child now ) it wouldn't have been 8 years quicker, the timeline hasn't changed that much, but when the first person arrived would have been in the nearer future.
