I have no idea what you mean by "URDU" but if this English marriage certificate is a translated version of another marriage certificate, then you are going to need to send the original also.

You need to send both the original and translated version.

You need the official government issued URDU certificate and a certified translation of it. I don't recall the specific government agency the URDU certificate needs to come from but we have many members with Pakistan cases that can tell you.

Thanks all I am waiting for the NVC to review my DS230 as packet one with affidavit of support has been completed yesterday.

You were supposed to send the Urdu marriage certificate and English translation with this packet. If you did not, expect delays. You must send originals or certified copies from the issuing authority to the NVC.

Usually, Nikkah(marriage) certificate is issued in Urdu language by local government (counties) in Pakistan.

Sarah: You are supposed to submit original Nikkah nama along with English translation to NVC. Embassy will return you all your original documents at the time of interview. :)

USCIS:

11/19/2011: I-130 Sent

11/25/2011: NOA1 email notification received.

11/28/2011: Petition touched

04/27/2012: NOA2 email notification received.

NVC:

05/07/2012: NVC received

05/30/2012: Called NVC to receive Case # & IIN

XX/XX/2012: AOS bill invoiced and paid

XX/XX/2012: AOS package mailed

XX/XX/2012: AOS Receipt Paid

XX/XX/2012: DS-3032 acceptance e-mail received

XX/XX/2012: IV bill invoiced; IV bill

XX/XX/2012: IV fee

XX/XX/2012: IV fee bill appears PAID

XX/XX/2012: DS-230 delivered to NVC

XX/XX/2012: CASE COMPLETE

Embassy:

Dear Friends,

I got an email from NVC stating to download form for immigrant visa along with civil docs to be provided to them but they have also mentioned missing docs ; just to let you know that my lawyer submitted DS230 on my behalf without originals as I mentioned in my earlier post so the email recived by NVC is the old email or now they are asking for missing docs it is really confusion ; they have mentioned to courrier the docs to address with DR what does it mean??????

If you've hired a lawyer to manage your process, ask the lawyer. For detailed information about the NVC stage, go here. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut
