Yes you are right. I think I misunderstood what you were asking.

The inquiry I did for being in line for an interview for over 30 days was to the uscis 800 number. I asked to speak to a lil 2 rep who said they will send an email inquiry or me and to allow 14 days. I received a letter in the mail about the inquiry and a bit sad, which is why I checked to see if there were any updates and there was!

Still in the queue for interview here, since 7/30 (Atlanta). I did phone after 30 days in the queue (says to on my status)... they took my info, no word since. DO has 15 days to respond from when I made my call. I presume it's 15 business days so I may not hear anything til the 21st or so. Hopeful each day that an IL will show up - others in my DO have been receiving IL here and there without online status changing... but it's all sort of random.

Yeah, I was in line for 50 days before I called. They placed me in line on 07/10 so yesterday was 60 days.

Thanks I daresay ATL is busier than where you are. I don't think calling makes things any faster (or slower). It just is what it is.

Since I doubt I'd get done with time to register to vote at this late date, my only concern now is that I need to be done by the end of the year. GC expires on 1/3/13, and with it, my driver's license. My state won't give a license for longer than the GC. So if it goes past then, I won't be able to drive.

There was an article last week in the local newspaper about how they had just held a naturalization ceremony for 1500 (!) at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Article mentioned that there was a lot of interest this year due to the election. Cue a number of misinformed commentators to the article who thought folks getting naturalized were 1) primarily illegals and 2) decided to get naturalized on a whim. Those sorts of commentators usually are also of the "if you don't love it, leave it" type who don't realize the strain, cost, and time it takes to immigrate properly here or anywhere else.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my husband had his interview today at 10:45 and I received his phone call that he passed the interview

and will have the oath at 3PM today. He said the interview was 15 minutes. He had the same man that we had for the ROC who remembered my husband.

My husband was soooo excited when he called and could not remember all 6 questions but did say he was asked, "When was the Constitution written. How many Senators. Who are the Senators from NJ."

He was also asked if he had to serve our country would he and did he want to be a citizen.

I am a bit disappointed that I was unable to attend due to recent knee surgery but I am so happy this journey is finally over.

I hope and pray for all a very quick and positive end to your journey.

We could not have done any of this without Visa Journey. Thank you to all.

My lastest updated (09/07) is that they scheduled my interview but still no IL a week later. I just want this to be over!!!!!!!
