Hello everyone, thanks for all the replies to my questions. Now I have another. I am using my in-laws as co-sponsors for my AOS petition. However, I need to use both my mother and father in-law.

They will be filing separate I-864A forms but I need to know what figures do I put in for their incomes for the past tax years when they file their income tax jointly. They say that when they file jointly it is all considered as one income for tax purposes. I think this is the last question I have in regard to my AOS preparations.

Thanks

Ray

yap its considered as one if they filed jointly but you don't have problem anymore as long as they meet the poverty percentage level that the USCIS wants! good luck and have a good one...

Ok So then do I just put down whatever amount they had on their W2's as this is the amount they earnt before any deductions?

Yes. Put their individual incomes from their W-2s on each of their forms. You can send in a copy of their joint tax transcript for 2011 and copies of each of their 2011 W-2s to make it perfectly clear who made how much.
