Ok.

So I'm getting what I need for NVC together hoping i'll be ready by the time they contact us.

In 2011, I only worked for a few months ($8000) because I was in Haiti doing missions 1/4 of the year and being with the hubby another 1/4...for the last part of the year I was very pregnant and unable to work. Because of this I received food stamps and WIC. My baby turned 3 months a month ago and I got a temp position at a high school (still needing WIC) I'll be back in Haiti in June.

Questions: Do I write a letter to explain all this when I send in the I-864? How is the government assistance going to affect us (i've never had any before last year)? Should I cancel all government assistance now? If hubby and I decide to stay in Haiti or DR for a year (past the time this visa stuff gets sorted out) and I get a teaching, ministry position will my income out of the US count? How? Will his?

Please! Plenty of ADVICE NEEDED!!! :help:

oH...and by the way

My parents where going to be my co-sponsors but they have a mistake with their taxes (long story :bonk: not getting into it).

So now i need new co-sponsors.

:crying:

I know it's going to be ok because if God can manage to get me approved in 14 days I'm sure he will provide a co-sponsor.

prayers needed

All things come together...

USC using government assistance is not an issue.

If your current (at the time of the interview) and ongoing annualized income does not meet the requirement you will need a joint sponsor.

Your income abroad will not count toward the affidavit of support unless that income will continue from the same employer upon your return to the US.

These I-864 FAQ may be helpful to you >> http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3183.html

FWIW: The visa has an expiration date (typically 6 months after issue). Check to make sure you can extend if needed. If not, you'll be paying the fees and doing all the paperwork over again.
