I have been reading threads from VJ and thank God I found this thread, me and wife are getting crazy about this transfer case. I thought we are the only one that waiting for so long, My wife's friends who came here in the u.s at the same time/month got their GC already within 3 to 4 months w/ interview. but us.. it's a different story, it got transferred to CVC for "speedy" processing.? we called the customer service after 3 months of being transferred but got no help. We're trying to have more patience and wait for another 3 months to make it 6 months. If we don't hear anything from CVC then we will going to ask for congressional aide.

the customer service and some representative said atleast 6 months before congressional or representative can help us. I know the wait can be 8-12 months.. some cases ended up in a year or so. it varies... some applicants got their GC within 6-8 months.. some are less like in just 3-5 months after transfer.

We applied for my wife on November 22, 2011, just last Friday her green card arrived and that was with a congressional inquiry. So we were getting close to 8 months. BTW that is 6 months from the date the CSC gets the case. Have you case delayed getting to the CSC and it can really get long.

according to CSC customer service they have 180 days/6 months before they can pull out the file, congressional can't help if it's less than 6 months. if we don't get GC in 6, i will ask for congressional aide

I should have joined this before, my AOS was transferred in February and so far nothing at all. I wonder when can I get my congressman involved, last time I called USCIS they told me that I could only put a service request by the end of this month which I am counting the days. From what I saw some people say here to get the congressman's help it needs to be 6 months since the application was TRANSFERRED or 6 months since you FILED FOR AOS?

For me it will be 6 months since I filed for it next week but 6 months since it was transferred next month, does anyone know about it? Good luck to everybody, hang in there. (F)

A service request is just going to get you an automatic letter. You can get a congressman or senator involved at any time, but its not going to help unless USCIS decides they've taken too long on your case. Six months from transfer, or six months since filing, its up to USCIS to decide if its too long and tomorrow that time period could be eight months. Your elected officials can't make USCIS do anything, but USCIS does not like getting the attention of elected officials. Personally I feel all things seem to be taking way too long at USCIS now. And the much higher fees we pay today over just a few years ago was supposed to be used to speed things up.

So Glad for this thread, at least you know your not the only one waiting. So I was transferred to the CSC February 1st, was then told it was transferred back to Dallas, and when a Service request was raised they told me it was still with the CSC. Hopefully, we are all closer to hearing the outcome.

Thanks everyone
