Hello all again!

I received my hard copy of NOA2 today and to my surprise and absolute joy - it read "The above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate"!! Apparently this happens too, I haven't ready about it anywhere! I called to make sure and the lady at the NVC (also picked up right away) told me that they sometimes do that - as in send the petition directly to the consulate skipping the NVC.

EDIT:

Or maybe I have been duped, reading through some posts apparently they all say that? Can someone confirm or deny?

I called USCIS and asked them what's going on.. to quote "upon approval of the I-129F we forward it to the consulate nearest to the beneficiary" I follow up and ask - so it doesn't go the NVC? "No, we send it to the consulate" ...So then I ask, well since you sent it last week, would it be fair for me to contact the consulate next week and ask them if it has been received? She answers "the transfer can take up to 90 days".. at this point I wanted to ask her ####### - but I thought I rile myself up any more than I was at that point.

CONCLUSION:

I jumped the gun. Let's all continue to enjoy our wait and not listen to those clueless operators.

Mine says that - I did a quick google search and I think it's on all NOA2s.

I called NVC today the lady said yes honey your case is still here with NVC . They required some additional verification in your case

. I don't know what's that mean. May be FBI is running more details about me. I am so tired of this BS . I ###### clean person with no bad

History. I am good citizen.

What else do they need.

It's fuckin one month since I got approved . My case is still here

Hi everyone! I was feeling worried/impatient about the NVC process so I figured I'd call them today just to see what they had to say.

I know that it's only been a week after my NOA2 date, but this thread was making me nervous lol. I spoke with a woman named Penny who was quite pleasant. I gave her my USCIS receipt number and said it was only for 7 days ago and that I could call back. She said, "Well, it doesn't hurt to try. I'm seeing that it's not in the system just yet, but we should have it 15 business days after your approval date. Do you have the letter in front of you?"

I replied, "I do, it's dated May 7" and she goes, "OK, well 15 business days is the 28th which is Memorial Day, so try calling back on Tuesday, the 29th and we should have an update for you then."

Then I said, "Sounds great - I actually have a question, speaking of the approval notice being in front of me. It says on the notice that it's forwarded directly to the embassy/consulate but I know it's sent to you first, do you know what that's about?"

She goes, "Yeah, I have no idea why they say that. All fiance(e) visas are sent here first."

And I said, "I thought so, I just didn't know why they would put that, maybe to tell me that it's at least moving along?" Then she was like, yeah probably and I said I didn't have any other questions and hung up.

So... I thought 15 business days was good to know since it kind of changes things if we were counting 15 calendar days. I'm sure we'll all get our new case numbers soon and know that they're forwarded on quickly If you're over 15 business days though, start calling!!!

I got my NOA2 on May 3rd....and I called them today, but they said I have to give them 15 more days .........but I will call them on monday again

Yes keep calling I found my staus had changed on the USCIS website April 27 and got the NOA2 on the 30th. I called several times and on the 11th they recieved it from USCIS. I got the case number and gave it to My Fiancee in Manila and she got some documents and fingerprints done for her Singapore Police background check. The package hasn't even arrived in manila but with the case number you can get the ball rolling in your favor so "By all means" keep calling and checking! Good Luck! Paul & Leticia

Have you called NVC lately? They seem to be pretty helpful on the phone.

Good news, they've just got mine, to be mailed out in 10-20 business days.
