Finally, some good news to report. I noticed last week that our checks had been cashed, although I never received an e-notification. Well, today I called USCIS, and after waiting for about 10 minutes, was assisted by a very pleasant and helpful woman who looked up my information, verified that my cases had been filed, and gave me case numbers for all 4 of our petitions.

I have created an account on the USCIS website, and can see all four of them there.

She did tell me that our NOAs had been sent via USPS last Tuesday. I'm figuring that since yesterday was a holiday, they should arrive tomorrow or Thursday.

Anyway, it feels good to know that things are finally on the move, even if just barely!

That's such good news, glad to hear you got to find this out, you might be getting the NOAs in the mail soon, I got mine yesterday :)

We just had our biometrics appointment today at 3:00pm at the Portland, Oregon office. It was extremely fast, in fact, I only saw one other couple in the entire building! First we went through security and there were three very friendly guards (who all seemed to secretly want to be comedians). We were directed to the double doors on the left and filled out a short questionnaire asking things like hair and eye color, race, and previous names used. Then my husband was called over and had his fingerprints, photo and signature done. All in less than 15 minutes! Everyone was very friendly, the building was new and clean, and I don't think I've ever had better customer service anywhere. Seriously.

Good luck to everyone else. I'm crossing my fingers for all of you! :)

May 23, 2012 (Day 1) - received by John Chyba at 11:41am at Chicago FBASS address

May 30, 2012 (Day 7) - personal checks were cashed

May 31, 2012 (Day 8) - called up USCIS since checks were cashed and 4 case numbers were given

June 1, 2012 (Day 9) - received NOA for I-765 dated May 29, 2012 with error on address. Called up USCIS for correction

June 2, 2012 (Day 10)- received NOA for I-130, I-485 and I-131 dated May 29, 2012 with the correct address

June 4, 2012. (Day 12)- received biometrics appointment for June 14, 2012

June 12, 2012(Day 20)- walk-in biometrics (only 2 days in advance from original schedule)

Finally, we got our 4 receipt notices in the mail today. My wife now has an A number, and we're officially off and running in this process. :)

Now waiting patiently for the biometrics letter. Ok, maybe not so patiently waiting.

My biometrics appointment took a month and 1 week to arrive :)... so nothing to worry about.

Yeah, but you had to call and ask them for yours. I figure I'm waiting one more week, then calling. I don't trust the postal service.

Where did you have to go for biometrics, anyway? West Sac?

I just called up the USCIS to check if they can find my case online since my checks were cashed but no e-notification. The customer service was so nice that he searched for my case and gave me all my case numbers yeeeyyyy. I was informed that the letter of action was mailed on May 25th so it should probably be in the mail anytime soon. So i guess if you guys want to check and get your case numbers, try calling the USCIS hotline 1-800-375-5283 and they are so nice to assist you with any questions you may have. Its only been a week since i mailed my package. Hope this info helps others. :)

I suggest you call USCIS 1-800-375-5283 and request if they can search for your case. They just have to ask for specific infos.
