We have NOA hard copies and biometrics appointment...

BUT, our check is still not cashed! Should this be a cause for concern? Should we expect rfe?

Is anyone else in this position ?

they indicated our fingerprint fee was accepted, did they loose our check? I assume if there had been a problem with check initially we would have rejected .. or ?

They convert the checks to electronic withdrawals. Any chance your bank doesn't allow those, or you have them blocked on your account?

I think if they couldn't get your money, (and they realize it), they would hold up your process until they do. As long as things keep moving along, I think you're ok.

Well, some movement to report, finally. I check my bank account about 5 minutes ago, and my checks were cashed. Still no notifications, electronic or otherwise, but at the very least we now know someone opened our package and looked through it. Today is 2 weeks exactly since our package arrived.

That's something, at least.

That's good. For some reason they probably didn't activate your electronic notification. When you get your hard copies, you can do it then.

I know it's stressful when things don't go exactly the way they're "supposed" to, but at least they are going in the right direction!

This is true. The lack of e-notification is bothersome, especially since I'm an 'electronic' kind of guy. I prefer to do almost everything via internet. That having been said, it's not a show-stopper, and I'm just really, really happy that our package has been opened, and evidently, processed by someone. I feel a bit better now.

There's a thread in the *other* AOS section where they are keeping track of offices that allow early walk-ins. If you have time you might leave your info there:

Well, here's the delivery info:

Delivery date: May 11, 2012 10:21 AM

Sign for by: J.CHYBA

Delivery location: Chicago, IL

The J.CHYBA guy is a name I've seen in other people's posts here about delivery receipts, so I feel like it arrived at the right place. I called USCIS today, and they looked me up. There's no record of my petition being processed. They told me not to worry until 30 days have passed.

I just don't know what more I can do at this point.

My package was sent on May 10, 2012...

Delivered and signed for on May 11, 2012 by JC and i still haven't received any notification as yet....

Relax, everything is fine! They look for the checks first before sending you the NOA. As long as you keep enough money in the account to cover the checks, there will be no issues.

Thanks , we hope so, . I also believe they look for check first then start the process just needed to hear it from some one else :)

That would be pretty lucky. But at what point would you feel comfortable spending the money? I'd probably leave it sitting there for about a year, out of fear that they'll show up one day looking for it. :P
