Called again today. Spoke to an absolute gentleman at Tier 2. He was very sympathetic. Told me that there was some activity with my file on Wednesday but he didn't know for sure what that was.

He said to call back in 2 weeks if I haven't heard anything. :thumbs:

Have you sent the form to have text/emails updates? I would say no because you would have receive them. But if they cashed the check, you should receive the NOA hardcopy very soon.

I also just received my text and email that my AOS had been approved and my card had been mailed out. Everyone else that applied in May, seriously, hang in there, your day will come probably very soon!

I think it's quite funny that you wait and wait to hear from USCIS, and when you do, it's a onslaught of texts - they texted me at 1:45 in the afternoon, and then repeated the same thing at 11:15 pm, 11:30 pm, AND 2:15 am! Oh well, just happy they're thinking of me :thumbs:

This is encouraging.

Finally received the green card today! Woohoo!

After getting green cards everyone posts their theory about what caused theirs to come through. Here's my story.

We never called USCIS.

We never wrote our Congressman.

We did not call a lawyer.

We never checked our status at all, except on the forums at VJ, and online through the USCIS website.

BUT... I did post a few times on VJ talking about not getting our green card yet, and it came less than 3 weeks later!

Moral of the story: be patient and post on VJ.

Checked my status online at USCIS tonight and MY CARD was being sent to me today :D YAY! I can't wait to have my GC in hand. After almost a whole year of waiting. Funny thing just two weeks ago I applied for my AP and renewal of EAD. and NOW! they approve it. Omg, the stress!!! So Happy it's over for a little while. No more paper work for 2 years, awesome! :P

There is something I am not sure about it. When I called the USCIS, they said if we applied to renewal EAD/ AP, after we get the Green Card, we still need to go to the biometric, even all they say is "Go home". Is that true? Is there anyway for us to cancel the renewal? I am gonna send mine next week, but that issue is really bothering me. I don't want to drive 4 hours and all I get is "Go home"

Gonna make some phone calls tomorrow to see if I can schedule on in for Tuesday ( I work on Mon, Wed, Fri).

OMG! Your medical exam expired before they had processed it after 11 months. That is horrible. Wasn't your fault it had expired. I would've been pissed off as hell. At least someone's working on your papers now but still....

Wednesday will be our 1 year anniversary for my husband's AOS NOA1. I have a feeling that we're going to get an RFE as well due to the medical, since it'll be a year now that he's been waiting for the green card, or they lost it or something.... This is making me quite angry. I just wish they'd do something with his application! The last "touch" was Dec 11, 2012 when we changed addresses....ranting33va.gif

My medical exam was on Sept 6-7, 2011 and expired last year Sept. 6 2012 I got GC approval last month so everyone that's been waiting for more than 6mos. would have expired medical exams and it's very ridiculous and inconsiderate that they'd request new medical exam when technically, it expired while waiting for someone to process the application.

I was wondering about that too, I agree with you as well! It seems a bit ridiculous if that were true cuz there would be many more people with expired medicals!
