Bad customer service from NVC

Does anyone else feel the same way I do? Every time I call the NVC for some information, they either sound demeaning on the phone, uninterested, or in a hurry to just get you off the phone. I feel that every time I call, I have to rehearse my questions and get them out within 2 minutes or my time is up. I have talked to Gus on two occasions and he gives you the "ok, now is there anything else, I can help you with?" before I am done explaining my concerns, which tells me that he is more interested in having better call times at his call center than resolving our concerns.

It just seems that the customer service at the NVC is horrible. Does anyone else feel the same?

Honestly, I think they are swamped with calls, miserable and fed up because they cannot answer the questions that everyone calls asking or impact anything in the way this beuracratic office works. Imagine having to answer questions regarding visas day in and day out and you have no information for you are not the person managing the case. Therefore, they don't have any answers but to tell you whatewver they can to soothe your nerves where possible.

Actually, over in one of the other threads, we've started a list of the good and bad operators. Gus is mediocre. Frank is....well, we like to call him Frankbot. Riley has actually had a complaint lodged against her (wow, right?). Jim is amazing, Nigel has a fabulous accent, Brooke is efficient, Donna has no sense of humor but is nice. We also love supervisor Jen, and Kat is helpful but can be cranky lol. :D

when you ask a question, make sure it is not a open question. ask him/her to ask the question directly. if they fail to answer the question, ask to speak to someone else/supervisor.

Thanks for the info. I am on hold right now for yet another talk with one of them. I got the invoice ID to pay my visa processing fee but it isn't available to pay online :/

There's a whole group of people in your exact situation, over at this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/360415-nvc-filers-april-2012/page__pid__5306219__st__3555#entry5306219. It seems everyone's invoices are broken. On the upside, they're now $230! :)
