Hi guys,

I am writing in this forum as you all just had your interviews.

I am interested to know what 'extra' proof of relationship evidence you guys carried to the interview.

Did you all carry years and years of phone records??? hundreds of pages of skype logs???

So, my interview was at 8 am but I was there at 6 and went direct to the line 3 where there was nobody but me, at 6:15 people at the embassy began to work organizing lines and checking the letter from NVC and letting us to enter into the building, I was actually the first first getting into the place...

Then a girl (Colombian) told me to wait in the "office" number 6 (but it doesn't matter which one, green numbers are for immigrants, blue are the other type of visas, the color in the number is huge so is easy to see where you will be all the time.

Ok, at 7 am they begin to work inside of the embassy so at 7 o'clock I was talking with the girl (Colombian) She asked for what NVC said:

- Medical examinations (Enveloped)

- 2 Pictures 5x5 with the complete name on them (advice: use the right pen and do it before the interview)

- RECENT police certificate

- Passport

- Letter from NVC

She asked what was the longest stay in US (if any) and what dates. Verified email, phone numbers, names, parents names.

After checking all my documents and papers sent by NVC she organized everything and gave me back some of them they didn't need...She sent me to seat (best place to stay: behind "Cafe Iguana")

It was really hard to understand when consuls where calling so that part was difficult...I waited just like 20 minutes when a lady (consul) called me to number 3 (green window) and she asked same question what was the longest stay in US (if any) and how I did meet my husband. She asked if I was married before and then she said your visa is APPROVED!!! (Very nice lady!).

Then she gave me a paper with instructions of how to pick the passport up in two weeks.

And...that was it...still don't believe it!!! My husband yelled, said many things like crazy by phone, but I was quite, I'm still in shock hahahahaha

Ohh!!! I forgot to say!!! I brought like thousands of pictures and papers and it was just difficult to carry, so the less the better but being smart and just bringing few of them. They didn't ask for anything, they had all the papers, but still I would bring copies of everything (just in case)

Excellent Review and thank you very much!! As soon as I saw your post I called my wife (in Colombia LOL!) and told her about your visa approval. This may sound strange but we were so happy for you without even knowing you! LOL! ... But things don't end just there, my wife and I will be doing a "practice interview" tonight and I will share with her your experience this morning so she knows what to expect.

Thanks again. God Bless your way home and get ready for the very last lap: POE!! Wooohoo!!! Congratulations again!!

Side Question: Did the consul say to come back in 2 weeks to pick up your passport?? (Literally like that?). I'm asking because once interview is over we won't have a chance to go back to the Embassy to pick up anything because my wife lives in Barranquilla. Or do you mean they gave you instructions on how to arrange for the delivery of your passport??

Oops!!! I forgot some words hehe...Consul gave me a paper with instructions on how to arrange for the delivery of my passport or...pick it up at DHL, they give you a website to sign up and make the arrangement.

Thank you all for being happy for me and I'm happy for you all too. I'm sure the last two of may will be just fine, it's more the anxiety and nervousness than what it really is...

I still....can't believe it!!!! hahaha

Thanks for all the info during the process and thanks for the support, it means a lot! Gave us hope and faith! Good luck for everybody and best wishes...

GoingCrazy2012 everything will be perfect for you guys, really really! Advice: staying there at six helps A LOT! Makes you more confident and sure you are doing the right thing and of course going to the line 3 from the beginning, other than that, piece of cake!!! hahaha
