Yay, grats! kicking.gif Makes it feel more real ;)

I'd suggest getting to the airport at 4am at the latest since you have to get through customs, which I don't know how busy it is at that airport, or at that time. I'm guessing you won't be getting much sleep laughing.gif You can cuddle with your husband that night though ;)

Yeah, it's going to be an early morning for sure. Probably won't bother sleeping, save it for the flight. I have a 6 hour layover in San Francisco :crying:

I see. But how come they sent my son (IR2) an instruction on how to put together the IV package? Just curious why it's not the same with mine.

It really is confusing, aye?

as this 'receive instruction package' is a timetick in the timeline, here at VJ.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Wow, 6 hour layover? I think the longest layover I've ever had was like 3-4 hours. You can take a nap then, just make sure you don't miss your next flight :P

Actually - all the reviews on the Canada portal were pretty accurate. Ours won't be the same as most thanks to the expedite and three trips to different windows before the interview, but the end result was the same - and everyone except the cranky door security was really nice :) I'll post a review once I'm home though!

Yay! Congratulations :D See, it's a breeze.

It sure was a breeze. Strange part though - the interviewing officer actually started the interview directing her questions at Travis. I was like "heeeeey..." lol. And then one of her questions to me was "so did you ever think you'd marry an American?" My answer was an almost disbelieving "no", and both she AND Trav started picking on me (like, "what, we're not good enough? Jeez..." lol. I was like "no no no, I'm a traditional kind of girl and I'm naturally shy, never thought I'd move that far away from home is all!" :) Then they laughed at me in a goofy way lol...) It was EXTREMELY relaxed...was NOT expecting that lol. She also took the name of the game since she says she's a bit of a gamer and was intrigued :) She also mentioned when she saw that we married 7 months after meeting "that was quick." I think this was halfway through the interview - and we closed the deal by saying "yeah, but we just knew" and looking at each other with goofy grins. This was her response when we said that: :)

I've done a 6 hour layover before... it sucks, but I have good incentive to do it, haha. I missed my flight out of Toronto one morning because I decided to sleep for a couple hours. Panic attack when I woke up 10 minutes before my flight is taking off? Absolutely.

Holy #######, I would have sh!t myself!

Thankfully, I've never missed a flight and have made all my connections. Although, once, my connecting flight should have left, but thankfully it was delayed, so I was able to make it!

Saylin,

Got this below email titled "NVC cover checklist" last night. But I have sent in my IV packet and I guess they haven't processed it yet. But can this mean that there is a problem with my documents? Here is the gist of the email.

Sent IV and AOS packages together last week but we called today but was told they haven't received our AOS package yet. It's not lost now, is it?

Don't worry. The operators only know NVC has received packages is when an officer starts to review them. Until then, it won't show up in their systems.

That looks like just a false checklist. Which indicates that NVC has reviewed and accepted your AOS package! Have you called NVC to confirm this?
