I just called the NVC and still no case number. He told me i need to wait 20 business day for the case to update. They got my case last monday. I just want to get moving on this already.

I also asked him about the fees starting on April 13th and he told me the IV fee will be $230 and the AOS is staying the same at $88. Does this sound right? :help:

Thanks for the advice/feedback Saylin and Alaska, and for the congratulations from everyone else. I just called the US Embassy in London, and they said to email them, and as soon as my case is in the system, then they'll see what they can do about moving the date up. I, the dad to be, am actually the beneficiary, so luckily my wife doesn't have to go through the stress of the interview and travelling. I definitely won't hold my breath for an expedite, but you never know, there may be a cancellation.

So I called NVC and spoke to Olivia. She said there is still no sign of my case at the NVC. Told me to call back by next Tuesday or Wednesday instead of the usual 15 business days. Does that mean there are some delays at the NVC longer than their stated times or was she just telling me to stop harrassing them and leave them alone for a while?

My 2011 Tax transcript arrived so I guess I need to add that to my package and remove the tax return and W2 and all that.

Saylin when do you think I will get an interview date for? I am planning a trip for July 7th till 14th. I would like to be there for the interview also and don't know when the interview would be in relation to those dates. If it is a week on either side that is fine I can make two trips but I would hate to have the interview on July 5th or July 17th for instance. I wanted to buy tickets for my planned trip but if I wait till the interview date it will be too expensive. What do you all say?

I'm betting it's just a standard line they're giving you to stop calling. But don't listen no0pb.gif Again, don't worry about the operators not seeing they've received your case. I'm betting it's in the mail room. Remember, my case was received on the same day my case number was assigned. So, just focus on getting a case number assigned.

Grats on getting your tax transcripts though! Much better than tax returns and W2s.

I'm estimating you'll get your case number this week. Your AOS package should be sent next week, and the IV sent late next week or early the week after, with a CC the week of the 23rd. From there, an interview will probably be around late June or early July. But, that's a lot of guesswork laughing.gif

I know that would suck!

My husband will miss the birth of our child, but I had to promise him to bring my laptop so we can skype the minute she's born! And that I will do, I already cleared it with the hospital!

The midwife did gave me a strange look when I told her about it but I was like try and stop me if you dare! :D

You should have Skype on while you're giving birth :P Might not be the most ideal situation, but it's the next best thing.

Well if you stopped talking most of us would be :blink::crying:

laughing.gif Very true. Continue to talk I will!

I'll for sure email you a picture once they're done :) I have your email, right? *scratches head*...think so - but if not, I'll attach it in a PM :D:thumbs:

I believe I gave it to you when you were sending those links from that site. If not, there's an email option on my profile. Or just PM me. Whatever way, get it to me :D

Yes, the AOS fee is staying at $88. The IV fee is $230, plus the $75 surcharge, so the IV bill will be $305 (down $99 from $404).

Ohhh, thought your wife was the beneficiary headbonk.gif Then there might even be a lower chance as she doesn't need to travel at all as the petitioner. But yes, I'd still give it a shot. You never know ;)
