It's been over 2 yrs since i met my hunny, so here's a couple of things i've come up with:

I embroidered his lab coat with his name, so i feel i'm at work with him :P

He doesnt decorate his apartment for xmas so, last year i mailed him stuff for each room, all wrapped in different presents, i included a santa stocking which contained lil papers i made telling him reasons why i love him, and i embroidered towels for his bathroom too.

I love buying him clothes, today is our 2nd anniversary and he just got a big box i sent him which had a gift basket i made him. Among the clothes, I put a stuffed animal in it and sprayed it with my perfume. When he called me to say thanks, he was smelling it lol.

The first time we went on vacation i brought along our very own version of truth or dare. I put a few questions i thought would be important for us to talk about, and the dares were fun and kinda naughty lol. We had a lot of fun.

For valentine's and easter i made some cute bags and boxes stuffed with candy and chocolates for him, his sisters, nieces and closest friends.

Oh man, i just love to handmake things, plus, i'm a very corny person lol and well, we dont want distance to keep us from feeling close, there really doesnt have to be a special ocassion for us to mail something, i simply love doing it, thats how we are. Wow, hopefully, this is the last xmas we spend apart...

What don't we do for each other? lol

voicemails/texts throughout the day just to say ILU...he even used to fax me from time to time...what a nice suprise those would be! We are always working our day around each other...usually involves hims taying up way too late so we can sit and spend time - even if it's 30 mins.

We've made little movies of ourselves talking in real time to send to each other. I've made him a photo montage video to a really special song...which. Of course the 'I was out and saw something that you would love so I bought it for you' routine...on a lad's weekend he wound up buying me a cameo brooch. Hahah, I can just see it...him and his mate going on a weekend bender movie premiere, and he's out shopping for something for me.

Anytime either of us go anywhere, we also buy a 'cheesy gift'...it HAS to be cheesy. So went I went to GA one time, I bought him a keychain with his name on a GA license plate...he went to Benidorm and brought me back an actual life sized sombrero  stuff like that. It's cute and quirky, and it shows how we're always thinking of each other.

We send cards just to say ilu and he's done so many massive gestures...we take care of each other emotionally, and not a day goes by without us doing things for each other...and they can be silly to anyone else, but to us, they're everything.

Aww Lisa - that's sweet! Funny about your "cheesy" gifts. Weve always done the same thing. My little cousin calls him "muffin" - it's a long story...so when I was in WV aiport, I bought him a little liscense plate key chain that said "Stuf Muffin" !!!

We were big letter writers when we were apart! I have boxes fuill of letters :)

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Wow thanks for sharing everyone

The first thing i ever sent him was a Teddy Bear holding a big red heart with his name on it ,he loved it :D

then on our first Anniversary together i organsied a virtual date ..we spent days going through the interent downloading pictures ..things like beach scenes and waterfalls ,a limo ,(inside and out) , motel , picture of a romantic dinner , a hot tub ,things like that ...and i told him to meet me on line in the morning , then i sent him each picture and told him to put it on his desk top picture and i'd put it on mine ,by the time we got throught the day ,it was like a romantic get away together (L)

Once i emailed his son and got him to sneak into his bedroon and place a rose and some chocolate kisses on the bed ,and he print of a message i sent to place with the rose

Last year for xmas i sent him his very own Santa sack ..filled with goodies from new zealand ,candy and chocolate and yup lots of those cheesy gifts .

on his birthday last year i got a big towel and stitched a big face and some arms and hands , with a note saying how i would be holding him ever tiem he used it , also sent cotton balls with me prefume on them , so he could put some in his pillow or where ever he wanted ..and some strawberry lip balm ..so he could taste my kisses

well thats just a few things .. his birthday is coming up next week ,so i been busy getting his gift ready ..i'll post bout it after he gets it , don't want to ruin the surprise if he reads this ...lol

I let him live.

Just kidding...I recently kidnapped him for work and dragged him upstate NY for a weekend getaway. He though it was a nice surprise...or so he said. The thing that makes him happiest is peace and quiet. So sometimes, I leave him alone to watch CNN for an hour or two while I go to the park and walk. I also put love notes in his lunch bag. I think his coworkers have stopped laughing at him by now. :D

Simple stuff.

Sorry I just realized this is for separated couples...sorry...carry on.

When Ako ( my wife ) was in japan for 6months before we were married I did some things to let her know how special she is, a few are below.

1)make a scrap / memory book with a different page highlighting what qualities

you love about your SO.

2)Compile a Cd of favorite songs make a special CD label.

3)Put together a momento Box with Symbols of your love or relationship

could include flower petals, or quirky items that may remind you of special moments or

things dear to you heart, maybe a matchbook of a returauint you first dined at, or a seashell from a beach you walked on together, or a funny item in the box write a letter describing each items significance

4)make an X-rated steaming version of the above momento box include a spicy letter and read it to your So as they are opening the box, include pictures. be very descriptive and detailed.

5)Carve a love poem out in on a cliff, or in the sand at sunset, take a photo of it and send it to your SO

6)Make a collage of photos of you both together include baby pictures ect,,

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
