Hi Everyone,

Not sure if this topic had been posted before.

I wish to compile useful sites to allow my job seeking easier when i move over to USA.

Preferably all levels of job range.

Hoping that experienced VJ-ers can provide useful job sites for everyone's references too.

TIA!

I found my job within a few weeks using indeed.com. There are a few other sites such as monster.com and craigslist.com (if you can weed out the possible scams).

Best wishes to you on your job hunt!

  • Monster - Good all-around
  • Dice - Decent for tech field
  • LinkedIn - Good all around professional networking / job hunting site
  • Craigslist - Be cautious on this one, but it does have legit postings

Hope it helps...

Enjoy,

Erik

I've used all of these, except Craigslist since I don't trust it much, and they've helped out tremendously.

I have friends who are employers who use Craigslist. They use it primarily for entry level or low level positions since it's not necessarily cost effective to advertise on the others for those positions. Whether you are using it or any site to find a job caution is advised. If it sounds to good to be true, then it is. If they require a fee or confidential data upfront, run...

Thanks and Enjoy,

Erik

i suggest -

in that city where yer fella lives -

there's a chamber of commerce.

IF they have a website,

usually the website contains a member list of all of the companies that belong to the chamber.

Helps to get local, in this fashion.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
