Small update: we called NVC today first time since we got our NOA2 on July 25. They haven't received the case yet, told us to call back around 14-15 of August. Yeah, right! Gonna keep calling them first thing in the morning every single day until we get it!!

That's good to know. I was debating when I should start making calls since I got the NOA2 on 7/26. I hear CSC is notoriously slow with sending cases to the NVC.

REF info:

DENIED FOR ABANDONMENT?!?!?

When responding to a Request for Evidence it is extremely important that you place the blue coversheet on the top of the response you

send to us. The VSC receives thousands of pieces of correspondence each day, if the blue coversheet is not on the top of the response it

will be placed in "general" correspondence and NOT sorted as a priority, which may delay your case. Ultimately, it could be sent to the

file as supplemental information, not a response to a request.

JerseyDomRep, do you mind if I quote you in another thread? just thought I should ask - didn't feel right just copy/paste )) Info that you provided possibly can help this person.. poor thing, they just got second RFE!! how terrible is that?!

Personally, I don't put much stock in the VJ NOA2 ETA - it's just based on averages of who fills out their timelines.... and really, it all depends on which box VSC decides to pull on any one given day.

Just called uscis and was told to wait 20 days from today to put in a "Service Request" so that would make it August 21 2012 which is more than 6 months past my NOA 1 date which was received by VSC 2/10/2012, yeah the guy on the phone was quite kind and polite but he is only an operator so he was absolutely no help on giving me any feed back regarding my status. I guess the waiting continues with the rest of y'all February filers. Man this is a long excruciating process...

Hey guys,

I'm filling out my RFE and it appears that they assigned me an alien registration number (A#).

I think I may have read somewhere that they assign you an A# if you're approved. But like I said I still don't have my NOA2. Any of you out there in the same situation as me?

Never Heard that one....... You are approved once you get the APPROVED letter. If you dont do anything with the RFE trust me, you will not be getting a VISA, no matter what you heard. I dont know what that number means though.

I just ran about 150 receipt numbers and it is at least conforting to see so many "initial review" status around our number. At least we are not the only one left behind. About 59% of the batch are approved. Just need to keep waiting.
