I am having a ROUGH week.

On Sunday, I was involved in a car accident (I wasn't driving)... A guy in a stolen SUV ended up hitting 4 cars (ours was the last one, so there was barely any damage, and no injuries, thankfully), and then taking off and running away ON FOOT.

Now today, my MacBook mysteriously developed a crack in the bottom of the screen, and I can't close it anymore. (And I use my laptop for work, so I have to carry it back and forth from the office... it probably won't survive too much longer)

I also told Tom I'd buy his plane ticket up here for our Jack and Jill party in September...

so that means I am going to have to dish out A LOT of cash in the next few days/weeks :(

Your car insurance should cover the laptop. Make a call. hope you have no other things popping up. A good idea is to also just start the paper trail with your DR. I just finished settling my claim from an accident in 2007.

take care

Terri

Sadly, the laptop wasn't even in the car at the time of the accident... just a freak occurrence at the exact same time - Go figure!

where do you see this???

I was bored one day and I went through case numbers and made a spreadsheet, similar to what Sabi did for January... :) I don't check it as often as she does though...

haha, I love that every month has its own Sabi :D VJ should do something serious about this, something like an automatic program that enters all the numbers in USCIS website and gets their status :D this way, we can EXACTLY know what both service centers are doing :D (wouldn't it be nice? )

WOW! Thanks God that you're OK  Did they arrest him at least?

I have no idea! There was a police dog out there to track his scent, but they took all our information and we were allowed to drive away, since there was no real damage to the car. I can't find anything about it in the news :( (The area where the accident occurred is a kind of rough area of town, so I'm sure it's not "newsworthy" to report a stolen vehicle accident, sadly LOL)

haha, I love that every month has its own Sabi :D VJ should do something serious about this, something like an automatic program that enters all the numbers in USCIS website and gets their status :D this way, we can EXACTLY know what both service centers are doing :D (wouldn't it be nice? )

That would be awesome :)

Just contacted CSC and the agent was able to open a service request due to the case been outside the normal processing times, will be in touch within 15 days, LOL. But at least the system did allow the agent to open the service request, something that was not allowing them to do. My paperwork was form Feb 6
