Ok so this is basically me freaking out 3 days before my husbands interview... just wanting honest opinions on our chances of approval.I will keep this as short as possible and basic. You want or need more to form better opinion just ask :)

I am a USC. My husband is from cameroon and has been living in germany for over 3 years now as a student. We met online. Obviously fell in love :), since we met 5 months later. I traveled to Germany on a 2 week trip. On the 5 day of my travel we married in Denmark. We chose Denmark since it is easier overall marital process than in Germany and I would only be there for a few more days. Since then we have kept in extremely close contact. We send constant gifts and letters and cards to eachother as well as talk several times a day. we have the phone records and emails and mails to prove it. we have lots of reciepts of money gram where he sends me money. we are buying a home together here in the u.s. both of our names are on the lease. We included a copy of that lease in our initial marital proof, along with 2 sworn affidavits of our marriage. We have pictures of our marriage, before during and after. We also have pictures of us together during my stay in germany. I have a statement from my bank that I attempted to add him to my account but they cannot approve the request until he is present in the U.S. to sign the forms.

So...although that is a sweet story, I am worried about the fact I have only been there one time. The only time we have been together in person was my trip to Germany. He dosent live in africa right now but i know allot of times african countries will raise red flags for no reason at all. the fact that our time between meeting online to being engaged to meeting in person to being married to me going home was so short. And yeah the fact that my life is going to change for ever in one way or another in 3 days!!!!

please any opinions are welcome. i want to be honestly prepared for whatever the outcome is and dont want to feel blind to anything. we are truely in love and if me moving to germany is what we have to do to be together then that is what we will do. thank in advance, god bless and good luck to you all in your journey!

It would have been better if you would have planned to be there at the interview with him. You may be put in AP for a while.

I hope he will get approved and wish you the best ! At worst he will be refused and the case will go back to USCIS for more waiting to be reafirmed.

At this point why drive yourself crazy ~ be positive.

if he is refused the case goes back to the uscis for more waiting? what exactly does that mean? i thought if he is denied we can petition again which is starting all over is this basically the same thing as starting over? what is the difference if any? i did really want to be there but i started my job right after comming back to the u.s. and have not had anytime allowed from work to travel. it has been so hard not seeing him but we need this job for means to live on after he gets here until he can start work and help provide our needs too.

You should hope for the best.. I'll say you should carry on with your plans irrespective of all odds. The only red flag i see is that, you got married during your first visit which lasted 2weeks.

But then, you can still overcome this if your fiance is able to answer the consular officer convincinly based on this question if asked. Africa is labelled high fraud countries but then, there are many many good Africans out of millions of African people.

I wish you the best and my interview also comes up in 2days from now. God bless.

Marrying quickly, him sending you enough money to buy a house, the only things you are missing is being older and white to have a full red flag going. Yes you will be getting a lot of questions. Just know this and be prepared.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

At worst he will be refused and the case will go back to USCIS for more waiting to be reafirmed.

The way your sentence is worded is not completely accurate. When a spousal visa petition is sent back to USCIS from an Embassy or Consulate; USCIS will do one of two things, reaffirm the petition or send the petitioner a Notice of Intent to Revoke (NOIR).

if he is refused the case goes back to the uscis for more waiting? what exactly does that mean? i thought if he is denied we can petition again which is starting all over is this basically the same thing as starting over? what is the difference if any?

If the visa is denied and the file is sent back to USCIS, one of the two things I stated above will happen. If you receive an NOIR, you must respond to it by the deadline on the notice and you must rebut the specific points as to why the NOIR was sent. After your NOIR response is received by USCIS, they will review your response and then make a decision (reaffirm or revoke).

If the petition is reaffirmed, it will be sent back to the Embassy/Consulate for another interview. If it is revoked, there is is no starting over by filing a new petition, you would have to appeal the revocation.

In my opinion, It sounds a little crazy..

You may have talked online for a long time, but the fact that you have only ever been with him in person for 2 weeks and not to mention got married in that same time sounds crazy to me.

Questions I would be thinking about..

Where did he get all the money to send you to lease or buy a house? Hes a student.

Whats going on with his family? Do they have a good background and made an honest living? Did his money come from them? Did he work before he was a student?

Why did he feel the need to marry you during the very first visit of only 2 weeks? Is he simply trying to secure his visa to America? How do you know?

(After being married for 2 years before he enters America, he will get the Permanent Residence)

This means I believe that even if you two devoirs he can stay in America which would basically mean he only used you to get into America. Adding his name to your bank account is probably the worst thing you rush into doing.

(If you have been married less then 2 years, he will get the Conditional Residence)

This means he has to be loyal and make sure yous dont break up with in them 2 years or else he has to leave the country. If everything is fine then after the 2 years he can change to a Permanent Residence and then, same as I said above.

Although you may of talked everyday online, its easy to fool people when you only talk online. It takes a good few years of living with the person to honestly understand them. Sending gifts and money is a perfect way to make someone trust you. Everyone trusts people that send them gifts and money normally and many people would not turn that kind of offer down.

Anyway. I am just writing about worst cast and possibilities. Think about them but you don't have to take them serious. If you know the answers to my questions and they are perfectly clear then there is probably nothing to worry about.

Good Luck

He should be prepared for a lot of questions during the interview. Your story does sound a little weak to be honest: you've spent 2 weeks together and that's it. Make sure he knows what to say when they ask why you guys got married so quickly.

If you could still jump into a plane and be there with him, it would probably be a good idea.
