I just would like to make sure if I submit my 1st page of tax return as a proof that I am not married. Will be this is enough or I should submit something else? or I do not need send anything?

Depends. Why do you need this? For the I-29F? For an RFE? Have you been married and are divorced?

You don't need to send that in with the I-29F unless you've been married and divorced, in which case you need to send the divorce decree.

I just trying to get all documents for I-129F and not sure if I have to provide proof that I am not married. I know my fiance need get signed form. But from my end I am not sure if I have to provide something like that.

The USC does not need any proof of this. There's no official form for us in the States. Only time you need to prove being single is IF you're divorced.

Basically your sign it saying your legally free to marry(your fiance). Your fiancee will do the same and submit both with the petition. That's all USCIS is asking according to the i-129f instructions of proof of being single/legally free to marry, and that you intend on doing so.

Your tax return wouldn't prove anything anyway. If you're married you're not required to file together. Many couples do their taxes separately. Their tax returns would look like they're 'single' too.

If you have never been married in the USa you do not need to provide any "proof" as there really is none to provide.

If you have been married and divorced, then you have to provide a copy of the divorce decree (or death certificate) Nothing else will suffice.

Not needed. There is no such thing as a Proof of Being Single in the US. If you are divorced or never married, then it is assumed you are single.

Thank you for the correction Matt & Bing! In the past I've only had experience with the 1040EZ form where the only two options are 'single' or 'married filing jointly'. But a quick look at the 1040 form shows you are correct. Although the married filing separately are exactly the same until your income is over 69.000. Thanks!
