Hello everyone

We are preparing to file our I-129F and we just have one question. For 4-5 years ago, I (the beneficiary from Denmark) had a name change legally.

All the relevant documents that we are preparing to send with the I-129F only use my new name.

But in the I-129F and the G-325a, there is a question for "All other names used", here I wrote my old name in it.

Do you think it is necessary to also submit legal proof of name change with our I-129F application?

I no longer have the proof of name change and obtaining a new one and have it translated + certified will delay us a couple weeks more, that's why I'm asking.

Thank you very much

seems like something they may send an RFE for.... personally... I'd get the proof to send along with the petition, and have some control over the amount of time delay.... an RFE or possible confusion that missing document could cause may end up being a lot longer than the two weeks it would take you to obtain it...... just my opinion... star_smile.gif

Yes you will need that and have it translated into English.

The instructions state that it is required. An RFE will delay more than 2 weeks.
