You're most likely right.... :crying: I miss him so much, and the next time we can be together is his POE...we're both trying to be very positive and hope that we'll be approved soon - any day now, we keep saying, with every day we could wake up to our NOA2! I just hate that USCIS is being so vague about this delay. :(

I know that conversation well. I have the same one with my fiance.

Happy thoughts, you'll be together soon, and this horrid waiting will be behind you.

I called USCIS on November 23rd and requested an update on our case due to it being past 150 days. I received an email from USCIS on November 29th stating we had to wait for 180 days. I was initially told 120 days for the process and I called on the 120th day. I was then told that the process time was 150 days. Thats when I called on November 29th. Now it's 180 days!!! USCIS isn't consistant with anything...

:( :( :( :( :( :( hope USCIS can hear us :( :( :( :( :( :(

Hi guys, it's Amy writing...I'm currently trying to get USCIS to put a service request in for my I-129f petition to bring my fiance, Victor, here. My petition was filed on June 30th, and it's now been more than the usual 5-month processing time. Victor and I called on November 30th (I was in Russia visiting at the time :)), and received the answer that since the Cali service center is experiencing a delay and are currently processing I-129f applications from June 16th, the agent on the phone at the time was unable to put in a service request. That particular agent recommended calling again in 1 or 2 weeks. Today I called again at two different times to two different agents, and received the first time a reply that they were still processing applications from June 16th, and this one told me to call back in 30 days! The second one told the same information, but actually explained that the system they use blocks the phone reps from putting in a service request because of the CSC's delay, and to try and call back "in a week or two." She also said that USCIS occasionally updates their processing times, and that they were recently updated. It still says that CSC's processing times are 5 months, according to USCIS's website.

The agents I spoke to said that the service center being delayed extends the processing times and that's why the system doesn't acknowledge that our petition is outside of processing times despite the fact it's been more than 5 months. :( It's very upsetting at this point, and very frustrating and depressive to deal with this bureaucracy. Some of the info they give is consistent, and some conflicting, like how long to wait before calling again to inquire. On another immigration forum, some people have said that occasionally if you keep calling over and over again, you'll get someone who will put in the service request, and it leads me to wonder, is it actually true that the system "won't allow" them to put a service request in at this time, or are they just not doing it? Furthermore, when I requested a supervisor, I was told that the supervisor would just tell me the same thing. The only way I can get more info is to make an appointment with a local USCIS office to speak to someone in person to receive a little more clarification. Have any filers from June or July been able to talk a rep into putting a service request in, or is it genuinely *impossible* for them to do it? Also, do they ever willingly put their supervisor on the phone for you? I just want to hear some honest feedback from others to see if they'd had any success obtaining this illusive service request. Thanks in advance and I hope this inquiry makes sense...I'm a little flustered at the moment!

My noa1 date is June 14th. I called on the 17th and they sent a service request for me. I received an email 5 days later. It said my case was being adjucated and we will have a decision within 30 days. That was 14 days ago today. Still waiting but at least I have some hope now. Good luck to yoy.

None of those dates or time frames are etched in stone... just a guideline at best. Sort of like a speed limit sign on the freeway... a guideline. B-)

I know when 5 months rolls around for me that I will be very antsy if I don't have the NOA2, but I also realize this is the government.... so stand in line and wait!

Mine has passed 5 months on the 24th of Nov. I haven't called them yet. Thinking of calling them and see what they would say. To see some of our VJ members who applied after us got their approval before us really making me wondering ####### is going on w/ the CSC. anyway.. will call them tomorrow morning...

Okay I just called them during my lunch hour. They said that they're processing the cases from June 16th. My case shouldn't take much longer. I should call them back the end of next week.

Lady on the phone speaks English that I can't really understand. I like accent from the midwest/north better.

You never know what they are going to do. My NOA1 date was June 27th, and on Nov 28 I started calling. Basically they told me what has already been stated in this thread, that CSC is behind a little and call back in 2 weeks, as they update their processing dates on the 15th of the month. The system would not let them enter an inquiry.

Then I called my Senator last week and her office will inquire too. I was very frustrated of course. Then, this morning, I got an email - I-130 approved. So you never know what they are doing.

I'm a June filer, June 8th NOA1...still no word on the NOA2. Got a service request put in Nov 16, they got back to me 2 weeks later stating that it is still being processed (no new news there.) Have been in touch with my local congressman. They told me to wait til Dec 8th, I should hear something by then, if not, call the congressman's office and they will put in an expedite request... Let's hope that does something! Also, I scheduled an appointment through InfoPass to meet with a local immigration officer next week to see what they can do. Trying to do anything and everything before the holidays!! It's been 183 days since my NOA1...way too long! Can't take it anymore.

USCIS really is so inconsistent. Today I called and got a whole different attitude, much more helpful, but still not as helpful as I'd like. The rep I spoke to transfered my call, without my even asking, to a "higher level customer service agent" which is a supervisor. I asked for his name, just in case, and he referred to himself as "Officer ----" (blanking out name to protect privacy). So I'm not sure exactly what the job title of this higher level of service is on the USCIS customer service line. He took my information, and said that while yes, me and Victor's petition has gone beyond the service time of 5 months for CSC, they can't actually put in a service request for our case until 30 days past when our case went without NOA2 beyond the normal processing times! :bonk: But I can see on here that some people who've posted here could put one in several days after their case went past the processing times...#######, USCIS? Bleh, it's bureaucracy and I know it's probably all disorganized as hell too. I just miss my Sweetie and want to be with him ASAP! :( Also, I wanted to add that I asked the rep I spoke to first today how long USCIS has to respond to a service request, and it's 15 days, not 90 days as someone else previously stated. I think that I'll just keep calling every day anyway, just on the off chance I can put in a service request day-to-day...it's a free call, and it can't hurt to try. If it takes too much longer I'll be contacting my senators to see what they can do to help! I want Victor with me here ASAP! (L)

What I'm wondering now, Terri, is since they have 90 days to respond to a service request, can putting in a request actually delay our approval? I'm simultaneously hopeful and paranoid now, and want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. :) Thanks so much for your feedback!

they just give you 90 days to stop bothering them you will get your NOA2 soon ,in my case after I put a service request I got a letter saying I will receive a response within 60 days ,fortunately I waited only 2 weeks after my service request just chillax you will hear something soon

I don't wanna "chillax" - I want my man here with me! I'm completely incapable of being lacksadaisical about anything having to do with my man and our future together! :star: Anyway, I've been calling every day this week just to see what happens when I make the same request, and they give a different answer each time I talk to them, so I'll be in touch with my senator soon to see what they can do to help us. :)
