I know a friend who is on F1 and will be done with OPT August 2013.He is under F2A category and his pd is 09/10/2010.Do you think he will be current before he is done with OPT so he can adjust his status here in USA or he will have to leave the country and go through consular processing?Thank you guys..........

i think he could be current in the next 6 months for sure..!!!!!!

its 17 months to reach pd.......so u r predicting 3 months move per month when dos has predicted max 2 months.....do u have any bases for ur prediction?? (i will be more than happy if it happens...but i have doubt )...

Good luck to you as well. Keep me updated on any communication from NVC/ consulate. I will let you know any procesing/ update from my end. Our PDs are quite close. I hope we should get the interview letter in 2 weeks from now for Mar 2012

hahahahah no i m just waiting for my visa to get issued Insha-ALLAH i already had my interview last January 2011 :)

My Pd Is July 5,2009 !!!

APPROVED VISA ISSUED ON : MARCH 14,2012 :)

Visa In Hand: March 16th 2012 :)

I am predicting 2-3 yes. The visa bulletin would not only have moved 1-2 months for the next 15 months.. there will be bulletins where the jump exceeds that over the next 6-9 months.

Didn't say it would advance 6-9 months but 2-3 months. I know an advancement of 6-9 months after 3 bulletins would make all cases current & keep them that way thus eliminating the need to have the pref category for f2a
