The service centers vary in their pace. Sometimes VSC is faster, sometimes CSC...it changes. Some people say that country is irrelevant, and its not supposed to have any bearing, but I'm not really convinced. Be prepared to wait at least 5 months. Also you need to take into consideration the time frame of medical, and interview wait etc. So its really more like 6-8 months (or more) not 5.

Good luck!

The only time that the beneficiary's country has an impact on time is as the interview stage.

For example, in my fiance's country (Costa Rica), interviews can be scheduled in as little as 1 weeek after receiving the packet 3. It is a smaller country without many K-1 or CR-1 petitions. Also it is not a high fraud country.

Some Embassys are back logged for months to make interview appointments (I believe currently Canada and Russia are running behind, but I may be mistaken). Also, MENA Embassys always have delays due to mandatory AP after the interview.

No.

It all depends on the timing and your documentation.

Processing time of the beneficiary's country only matters if you are already approved for an interview. If the beneficiary is lacking requirements etc, that's when it slows down. Greater number of applicants receives their K-1 visa is 5-7mos.

See my survey of processing time, K-1 Philippines

I know which service center makes a difference in processing time but does the country of the beneficiary make a difference in processing time?

Not for a petition. You do not know which service center makes a difference as the "difference" frequently changes.
