Are you sure about this statement. I am of age 54 years and I have been LPR for last 30 years. Am I exempted from the English and Civics/History Tests? Does it mean Officer does not ask me questions on these tests?

Here what USCIS says about it.

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=ffe2a3ac86aa3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD

English Language Exemptions

You Are Exempt From The English Language Requirement, But Are Still Required To Take The Civics Test If You Are:

Age 50 or older at the time of filing for naturalization and have lived as a permanent resident (green card holder) in the United States for 20 years (commonly referred to as the “50/20” exception).

OR

Age 55 or older at the time of filing for naturalization and have lived as a permanent resident in the United States for 15 years (commonly referred to as the “55/15” exception).

Note:

Even if you qualify for the “50/20” or “55/15” English language exceptions listed above, you must still take the civics test.

You may be permitted to take the civics test in your native language, but only if your understanding of spoken English is insufficient to conduct a valid examination in English.

If you take the test in your native language, you must bring an interpreter with you to your interview.

Your interpreter must be fluent in both English and your native language.

If you are age 65 or older and have been a permanent resident for at least 20 years at the time of filing for naturalization, you will be given special consideration regarding the civics requirement.

To cut to the chase, if asked beforehand, I would have advised against submitting an N-400. Not because it's impossible to be approved, but because it's possible that it will have the same impact as entering the lions' den and stepping on the lion's tail. I would have waited at least 5 years since the last . . . um . . . incident before taking that chance.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

I just can't get over the peeing in police parking lot part. It's funny and strange at the same time. I think you should consult with an attorney. 7 arrests? That rap sheet won't look too god on the table of an IO. Good luck and hopefully USCIS will be lenient with you but if they decide to go by the letter of the law, then .......

Bad enough going in with just a minor traffic violation on your record, wanted proof that you paid that 50 buck fine. I know you want constructive advice, will have to have complete court documentation on each offense with hopes they are favorable to you. And with that many offenses will need a wheelbarrow to haul all that in. Can expect to wait a long time until its all reviewed.

All I can say that is positive, is that its the end of the season, and Lowes, Home Depot, and Menards are all having a sale on wheelbarrows at this time.

Tell me about being young and stupid, one negative about marrying my wife, she had a teenage daughter, started off okay, but would have been far better off if I home schooled her. Our high schools have gone completely to hell with all kinds of external problems, drugs, you name it. On easy for a parent to keep kids on the straight and narrow path, but my wife had a strong husband to enforce that. She is in her fourth year of college now and on the high honor roll. But it was a challenge. Gather you didn't have a step dad like this.

I answer yes on 16,17,18 but i'm not really worry about traffic tickets and i only wrote about my DUI in 2004 but then i also send them a criminal history off all my arrest and dont know yet to bring court disposition upon my interview for all my cases my last one was back in 2005 so now is like a waiting game i'm just waiting for my interview letter and if they need any evicence.
