I think he's clarifying that the visa is used to enter the COUNTRY - one time only. You don't need a visa to travel between the states.

And this is correct. My statements were to be taken literally. Travel between US States doesn't require a visa, didn't you know that?

I was wondering about the OP question too. For example my fiance stationed in Guam, if in the future my POE is Guam, can I travel to another states like Hawaii or New York if we want to have wedding or honeymoon there since the flight would make 1st stop in Japan? I was asked my fiance about it but since he's USC so his answer based on his side, unsure.gif, he said it wouldn't be a problem.

Why do I have a very bad feeling about that idea?

I have that too, but who would confirmed if it's true?

My memory is trying to tell me that U.S. territories like Guam count as having entered the U.S.

Is that means, leaving Guam, having 1st stop in Japan on flight and going to another states in mainland as consider a second entry? I never heard that flight from Guam would going straight to States without stop for transit in Japan, in case if someone offer advise to choose non-stop flight.blink.gif

If you leave the USA without your AP or green card you cannot get back in.

So if you enter Guam and get married then go to japan, you cannot come back to the USA.

the last few post are getting closer to the truth. It is correct you do not have a problem from one of the United States and it protectorates or what ever they are called, Like Guam,

BUT, and this is the key. DO NOT get on a flight that stops in another country after you were in USA ones and used the visa.

Not to have you panicked but consider you are on a direct flight and there is a plane problem or bad weather and it diverts to Japan. Now you are in trouble and cant get back in to the USA.

There are direct flights from Guam to Hawaii on United and Continental. You don't have to go through Japan.

Oh thank you. It such relieved because everytime my fiance go to Hawaii or USA mainland, his flight always make 1st stop in Japan.good.gif
