Hi. I have question on joint sponsor.. Should I864-A be filled up by the joint sponsor or only the I864.?

it depends, is the joint sponsor related to the sponsor, do they live at the same house?

we need more information.

yes they do live at the same house and they're related.

A better (more complete ) answer is needed to avoid the step by step back and forth.

Who is the joint sponsor? What relation to the US citizen spouse. Is the US citizen spouse employed or is the joint sponsor supplying all (or nearly all) of the required income?

if they live in the same house hold and are an immediate relative it is the i-864a, if either one of these isn't the case it is the i-864

This probably won't work actually because the petitioner is a dependent of the household member, and the I-864A won't properly reflect the number of people in the household. It's better if the petitioner fills out I-864 and the parent also fills out i-864. You sometimes have the option to do I-864A if they live in the same house, but not every time, and the criteria for knowing when you can use I-864A is more complicated than merely determining if they live in the same house.

To the above post: yes, you each fill out I-864.
