The wedding is in vegas, so flights are booked, hotels, wedding, reception, the guest have booked all there accommodation and transport details. Its hard, We booked it all once I was told I was approved so we waited to that date, and now this. :( I'm stressing majorly and trying to stay calm.

I hope I get a response early next week. *breath in, breath out*

It will be okay. It'll come before you know it. Stay calm. Did you email the consulate?

I got a email for more evidence even though it was approved at my interview, i sent back in the email all the info they need and asked for last wed. I hope to hear back from them asap. Would it be rude if I emailed them again to ask whats going on so i know what to do with my flight?

I think its different in every state but i know in Arizona i'm going to have to do the written test AND the prac test D: because apparently they only convert licence's for certain countries and Australia isn't one of them. Go figure, lol

If you were Canadian they would just take your Canadian licence and give you a US one, unless you lived in California, apparently there road rules are different.

Here is my experience: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/285729-getting-a-licence-in-iowa/ Differs from state to state but typically it will be a written AND driving test. As the thread I linked says, I hired a little auto chevy cruze for the day (weekends with Avis were CHEAP! and friday counts so :D) and I think that helped. I drove it around BEFORE I went to the driving test to make sure I felt comfortable. The written test too me AGES to study for. The Iowa book is just so damn boring! I only got one question wrong on the test though so I must have learnt something :P

You'll do fine :)

I think every state is different on how they do their driving tests. When Ben went to take his, they sent all the paperwork off to check if he was eligible but they told him he couldn't get a license until after we were married and possibly not until he receives his temporary green card. Go figure. We're not too fussed about it but the best thing to do is just go to the DMV with all the evidence and try to do the test. Some states may let you.

In other news, yay! We've been married for a week and a half now! :)
