I also served in the miliary and did a tour to each Iraq and Afghanistan. My experience left me feeling a respect for those international people. They are very kind and were always willing to open their doors and city offices to us to have dynamic discussions about thier country and what their hopes were for their future. Problem isn't that the common people don't want change problem is that they don't have the money to make it happen. Just to run for a political office you either have to be very wealthy or come from a very wealthy family. Sooo the common citizen did what they could to survive. Because of this, when it comes time to vote, they have no choice but to make a selection to which they try to decide who is the least corrupt person.

Many pray for a better future. They put their cares in Allah's hands because they have no other means to achieve their hopes and dreams.

Each and every Muslim that I have had the opportunity to speak with expressed gratitude for our efforts and embarrassment for the way the extremeists used Islam as a shield to hide behind their actions which in reality are a far cry from what Islam teaches.

I also fought for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans and among those freedoms is the freedom of speech. I believe that everyone is entitled to thier own opinion and expression. This has been an interesting thread to read thru.

When an innocent civilian sees his family killed, you'd think that would encourage him to join the Army. or if an insurgent decides to use his boy as a human shield the father would fight back on the spot. Instead...nothing. As long as these people are sheep and will not fight for freedom they will not have it. We can hand it to them on a silver platter but it will not be ingrained in them and it will quickly slip away. You can pray, beg, plead, wish, and dream, but until someone is willing to die for a cause, nothing is going to change.

They still have honor killings for pete's sake! They behead children! They have a LONG way to go to catch up to the civilized world.

I All my statements are supported by facts. Can you explain the facts? When Hitler came to power he was supported by the nation. He would never succeed if he did not have such support. Yes, there were people that did not support him. However, they were in minority. Same here.

This says Hitler only got 36.7% of the vote. Hindenburg won the election

and remained the President. He then appointed Hitler as Chancellor.

Two years later Hindenburg died and thats when Hitler made his move.
