I have a question.

My wife has her interview next month, I was married 2 times before do think it will post a problem during her interview. We had a very small wedding with just 2 witnesses but I have over 2 years of phones records showing communication everyday plus pictures, western union receipts and I've traveled to Jamaica at least 11 times since we met. We have been dating from 2006 and got married in 2010. I was married but separated when we met in 2006 and I got divorce in 2009.

yes it will be a problem because I have similar situation. i got AP on the interview

tell your wife to say that you met after ur divorce

it was why i had AP.

I told the truth that we met on 2004 and my husband was still married

So they are allowing you to attend the interview? Because they stopped spouses/fiance's from attending a while back. If they need to ask you any questions they will make you come back at another time.

Let's not go crazy here--the culture in Morocco is vastly different from Jamaica, and taking any advice about how Jamaica might react based on Moroccon experience is just as crazy as expecting Morocco to follow in Jamaica's footsteps. Different worlds. Different cultures. Different approoval processes.

They will not necessarily make you come back at another time - There have been spouses / SO who went to the interview, waited in the courtyard, and were called in because the CO had questions for them. If you are not physically present, they will make the beneficiary come back again with you. If the petitioner is present, it is likely that they will come get you if they need you.

As for the misrepresenting when you met, no I would definitely not advise that - There are plenty of other couples who had similar situations and started dating before the divorce was final - Not everyone who ends their marriage immediately files for divorce, and sometimes the divorce takes a hella long time to get.

OP: This is the worst advice anybody can ever give, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER lie at an interview. Period, full-stop.

Lying to a CO will result in a lifetime ban with no waiver. Your wife must answer each question truthfully.

My yout... don't lie! tell the truth. IF the marriage is real and you have ALLL those evidence you outlined, then I dont see why they would deny you. I know 1 individual who married divorce 2x and still his 4th wife got thru.

Ensure that your wife is prepared and ready to go with all the required documents.

Good luck on the interview. Tell us how it went when its all over.

yep!!!! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!!!!!!!!!! LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!headbonk.gif

MY HUSBAND I HAVE SOMETHING SIMILAR OR EQUAL TO YOUR PROBLEM. my husband got married 2 times! and THIS is the 3 time! we met in June 2005, he was married but separated for 6months.

septimbre 2006, our baby was born and he still married, but in October 2006, was finally divorce. IN DECEMBER 27, 2010 we got marriedkicking.gif, our wedding was fast!!!! only my aunts and my mom. and hardly took pictures, we did not party, because it was Christmas time and a civil wedding was our Christmas presentheart.gif

something I've learned Jan hese forums is: NEVER, NEVER LIETO A CONSULATE INTERVIEW !!!!, for more ugly things have passed you have to tell the truth!

I do not like going to tell my story of how we first met my husband and me, but I HAVE TO TELL THE TRUTH !!!!!!

the consular officer will know if you're lying, it is advisable to tell the truth !!!!!!!good.gifgood luckkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AP is a whole lot better than a lifetime ban. Please don't give advise here for people to lie to immigration officers.

OP.....everybody has a different situation. Yours is what it is. It is probably going to work in your favor that you have spent so much time and travel back and forth. Honesty is the best policy. It is hard to predict what other factors may come into play in a COs decision. They have a lot more information than we do.

I've been married twice before ONE of those having petitioned an AOS for my ex. We have had a K1 visa approved and now we are going to have the CR1 visa. We also met while I was still married to my ex. We didnt have 1 question asked during our K1 about my previous marriages. I think she should be prepared for questions but not lose sleep over it.

Thanks for all the adv. I was not ask to be at the interview but I will be there for support for my wife, Encase they need to ask me a question I will be there to answer any of there questions regardless I have no need to lie or anything to lie about. My phone record alone have the prove that they are looking for. I have spent thousand of dollar just on cell only, we talk at least up 10 times daily. My wife uses 1000 international credit with 5-6 days and all is on my phone records dating back the past 2 years. But thanks again I will keep all up to date on the interview.

I think you will be okay. Just be honest about everything. Say a prayer before you go to your interview. I do not see any issue with being married previously as long as your partner knows about it. Good luck to you both!

Allah[swt] says: “You may have someone in your mind, someone in your heart, someone in your dreams, someone in your life, but I am your someone when you have no one"He[swt] reminds us saying "O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you." [[Qur'an:8:4]] So when you slip and fall, remind yourself of Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim, the One whose always there, just waiting for your Call!
