Me and my fiance has 29 yrs age gap. Do they consider that as a red flag? We have been corresponding online for 4.5 yrs, and uses Magicjack (VOIP so I could call his cell in the US unlimited) talking to each other 5hrs a day (got a screenshot for it). Is there any problem about it?

Any other types of red flags that "sincere" people doesn't think much about? How to handle and manage what they call red flags?

Well not much to go on with your post other than the years difference, one big one would be have you met? Are you just asking a general question or looking to start the visa process?

He was just here 2 days ago. We lived together for 3 months. Yeah we are starting the process, I'm preparing everything, he just need to sign it and file himself. He doesn't have patience with this kind of stuff. It's unbelievable overwhelming. I am not ugly, my BF is huge but cute. Unless you know us, I am not expecting that it is really love on my end (him too). I could be with any guys in my age but for some reason, I don't fit in their crowd.

Just wanted to know if things will be more difficult than what it is because of the age gap. I read somewhere that it could raise a suspicion.

Happy New Year!

Yes it is a red flag, but you having lived together for some time is a good sign of a bonafide relationship. The bets you can do is gather as much proof as you can- having had a relationship for several years, that should not be a problem.

Well, I'm approved :) We have 25 year age gap, I know someone with 30 year age gap and they're married in US already. During my interview, my prescreener just murmur to himself about it but never asked anything. Even my consul did not bother asking about it. As long as you have strong proof of relationship and you're not lying, you have nothing to be afraid of.Good luck :)

It's not a red flag in the Philippines.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

That would be a red flag.

Doing all the paperwork is a red flag? No. I did all the paperwork (save for stuff I wasn't sure about). I am paperwork minded, my husband is not. I had a 5 minute K1 interview and approved for AOS without interview. I think most people assume the guys aren't really into the paperwork. Sexist? Possibly, but girls are typically more detail minded.

If you came from a high fraud country, that might not have been the case. Of course you did fill out the part of the form that said, "Prepared by", didn't you?

And being the beneficiary, you were expected to fill out the visa and AOS forms. The I-129F is supposed to be filled out by the petitioner.

No. Because that section is specific to immigration attorneys and other paid services (i.e. people not involved in the process).

Check again. It doesn't say, "Paid Preparer", it only asked if someone other than the person signing the form prepared the form. That includes a friend, or a family member, or anyone else, including the beneficiary in the case of the I-129F.

If you read the section it asks for the "Firm Name and Address", it also asks for the G-28 ID number, the G-28 form is here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=44bd4154d7b3d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD and is: "To provide notice that an attorney or accredited representative of a religious, charitable, social service or similar organization will appear before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on behalf of a person involved in a matter before USCIS." [emphasis added]

So.. NO, I did NOT complete the section reserved for any of those listed in bold above.

I just basically downloaded the forms, edited and printed it. Meaning the answers in the field AREN'T HIS HANDWRITTEN. Is that a problem? We will have the same answer anyway.

That's what I thought. They're attorneys etc. We know each other very much and we will have the same answer anyway. My fiance has ADD and are not really into stuff like this.

Are the consuls in the Manila embassy Filipino or American?
