Sorry, this was hard to read earlier..

What about offering to purchase a 1 year home warranty for the buyers. That might relieve some fears about the older home and don't usually cost more than a few hundred dollars. I work in real estate, and my client is a new home builder, but it did not sway me to buy new. I'm partial to older homes, myself.

Buyer first! Terms next!

Becs, we've talked about this in pvt, but I just wanna say I really really really hope you get this house sold and fast. Site looks cool!

Aye Lisa and I appreciate all the advice you've given me. No showing the house unless Wes is here with me. Safety first.

I'm lucky to have the advantage of working for a real estate attorney if we have negotiating questions. My background in lending won't hurt either.

This isn't an effort for the faint of heart.

Bec, (L) love the house (L) and the site looks great! I wanted to wish you luck with new interest and a buyer soon. I wish it were in Oregon, you'd have me hooked. :D

It's cracking me up hearing your house is considered older...mine was built around 1913.

Thanks PJ. It cracks me up too.

My boss builds new houses on the side to turn some extra income. He personally lives in a house built during the civil war. His advice to me was to SEEK OUT a 50's or 60's home as the lumber quality was better then and 2 x 4's were really that size!

That's a nice site! Hmmm "front and back gardens," eh? Could this site have been built by a citizen of the UK by any chance? ;)

that isn't what they call them in the US??

Only if they consisted totally of tomatoes, cabbage, beans, etc. (ie: a garden)

That's what we call a KITCHEN GARDEN in the UK.....Or, if it's away from the house on a separate site, an ALLOTMENT

Really? Because it's the web I was actually trying to retain SOME anonymity and safety. That's why the address isn't there................now I'm confused.........

I can understand your concern for privacy and security, but in realty sales, isn't it," location, location, location". Were I in the market for buying a new home, I'd first select a neighbourhood, possibly a few streets and then look to see what's available. Then again, if it were MLS listed by a realtor, at least the neighbourhood would be published online, and also in the newspapers. You might be able to preserve anonymity, by noting the general area, such as 2 miles from ........., in the heart of ......... close to shopping centre XYZ. Would that work?

I broke down and listed the subdivision name on the home page. Also added the school and fire department info, which I meant to do Tuesday but FORGOT! *dunce*

The advertisement started running Wednesday. No calls yet.
