They will ask you 10 questions max and you need to answer 6 of them correctly. It will take a lot of work for someone to fail the civics exam :)

Based on those numbers - it is a 60% passing grade and you are at 95% so I think you should be OK and should have no stress....

good luck!

I grew up here so it was very easy for me, but it's really the most basic questions about the US, I just did a quick review and answered every question correct. I'm pretty sure if you look over the booklet they give to you, you should be fine...it's one of those test that's hard to FAIL, you have to try really hard to fail that test...But Good Luck!!!

It is pretty much impossible to fail for anyone with a functioning brain. It's so easy that it's outright ridiculous.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

In studying both the old and new civics test with my gals, first question was, what in the hell happened to my country? And what is all this stuff about freedom? Like the IRS auctioning off your home if you don't pay taxes. Wasn't even an IRS when the constitution was written. Wasn't a USCIS either.

Stepdaughter never looked at the test until we got into the car for her interview. I copied and pasted the test off the net to Word, choose the best easiest answers, and plugged in our exclusive names. Took me about an hour and knew every correct answer. Her way of study was for me to kept my big mouth shut, but did ask for several explanations for some questions. None of this how a watch works if asked the time, just as brief as an explanation as possible. She got her six out of ten right, but had three geographical questions, Pacific, Atlantic ocean locations, and which state borders Canada. She studied it for about an hour.

Wife was different, she would read me the questions, and I would give her the answers, I was driving. Would frequently give her the wrong answers so she could correct me. Actually learn quicker by teaching than being the student. We did that twice in the drive over. She also answered the first six questions correctly. Both my wife and stepdaughter are far more adept with the written English language. They have problems with hillbilly talk and the way most Americans speak with slang and slurring their words. That was their main concern and rightfully so, both of their IO's could barely speak English. Wife told me she had to ask her IO several times to repeat the question. Would have been much easier for both of them if it was a written test.

On the old test, spent more time trying to memorized the names of the thirteen original colonies by counting the answers on our fingers. But said really doubt if they would ask that question, how could the IO keep track of the colonies if you mentioned the same colony twice? It was never asked. New test is actually easier. I know I would have a hell of a hard time if that test was in Spanish, even worse if in Chinese. Kept that in mind with my gals.

I looked online and found someone on another forum, who failed the civics test in February 2010. Looks like she had another interview in April 2010 and passed.

Awww I remember myself 2 months ago. For 2 weeks straight every morning on my way to work I play the CD in my car. And i perfect the civic test. Honestly the questions are very random so better study the 100 questions. I was not asked about flags or stars or states. It was more in government and history as far as I remember. Goodluck!!! But its easy dont worry as long you study.
