And no, I am not a fan of it. It is IMO an method of restricting the lives of women, keeping them under one's thumb and making them second class citizens. It is also a way for terrorists to disguise their identity when trying to infiltrate.

All the time I was dating my wife, she never mentioned sock-her, or is that soccer. But when the World Cup came on or that FIFA, was another playoff that started with an F. She was glued to the TV. Really surprised me, because most of the women I have known hated sports. I am even beginning to enjoy it, if for no other reason, rare to watch anything on TV that is 45 minutes commercial free. Also enjoy watching how excited she gets watching these games.

Is it headball or football? But have to agree it is far more football than the American version of the sport, and in many cases, equally as violent. But like the WWE, if the ref doesn't see it, doesn't count. Its kind of like our basketball or hockey, but at least they have plays and team work, rare to see that in a soccer game, just randomly kicking the ball back and forth between the two opposing teams. 1 to 0 is a really high scoring game, 0 to 0 is more like it.

Barcelona? Yep, that is her most favorite team, knows the names of all the players.

She's quite the gal, told me the Packers were on last night, didn't even know about that. She said I could watch it, TV is mine. But after watching the game for twenty minutes with 18 minutes of commercials, couldn't take it anymore. Said I will catch the two minutes worth of highlights later.

But I can sit through 45 minutes of soccer with her, but insist on turning the volume off, can see what's going on without those announcers. Dang, she gets excited when a goal is made, jumping up and down and shaking her butt. LOL, that is when the real entertainment starts.

lol, that's cool! I took my wife to her first live soccer game ever, to Barca - Man u in DC end of july, to my surprise she loved it and said she would do it again, a lot of fun!!!
