...i know this topic isnt new here...but sorry guys, i just need to know and be sure...my interview will be on Sept 12, 2011 MNL Embassy..and im freakin out about the documents needed..ive read a lot of posts here..ive read that i should "bring a copy or the original I864, /a that was submitted

to the interview, then ive also read :no need to bring i864 for the interview...i know that it is stated in the Packet 4 what are the things to bring and it includes I864, thats why im freakin out cz until now my husband my petitioner havent emailed me the I864 documents he and his mom submitted to NVC..we actually had a fight because of that cz hes telling me its not needed anymore and that he send it already to the NVC and NVC send it to USEM manila and that they got a copy.:crying: ......aarggghhhh...we actually fight over this almost everyday...my husband hates paperworks thats why almost everything regarding my application i prepared myself thanks to Visajourney, i prepared everything for him and the only thing he will do is to sign them...and mailed them...but unfortunately he didnt photocopy everything he send to the NVC..and now when i asked him for a copy hes mad, and he always tell me its not needed anymore and that im being paranoid about the interview ...

sorry guys..i just need to vent..we just had a fight...and it leave me crying until now...im thinking not to go to that interview..i mean if my husband wont give me the support and help i needed to get through this whole process.. why would i still go there..its obvious he doesnt want me there..from start im the one busy with all this paper works he just sits there and wait til he needs to sign something...you can see in my signature we messed up , its because of him not cooperating with the process / doesnt like paperworks....it took 400+ days til interview..

I DONT KNOW..i told him a while ago that if i havent receive a copy of the I864 from him and from his mom (co sponsor) i wont bother showing at the interview ..i cant take it if i fail the interview because of that I864...im tired , exhausted, frustrated with this whole process..cz im doing it all alone....

DOES ANYONE HERE FAILED the interview because she doesnt have a copy of I864?

FYI about 10 years ago...after our wedding he told me he already filed a petition for me....and so i waited, and waited and waited...then guess what only last year he finally told me he doesnt know how to file an immigrant petition...(now we got 2 kids) and so i started the whole process last June 2010...and now i when have an interview appointment hes messing up again....

I believe you need it. If he did not make a copy just ask him to do another and mail it dhl to you quickly so you have it. If you do not have it for the interview then you will not be denied. They will give you a chance to send it in or bring it back to them. Do not fight with the husband. Just tell im that it is ok if he did not make a copy. And ask him to please redo it and email it to you and mail it.

Explain to the embassy that you believe he sent in the original and did not make copies and ask them what they recommend you do.

You are so close. Please go to the interview and go in with a positive atitude. You will do fine. Just let them know the facts of the husband probably did not make copies.

Good luck to you.

i sympathize with you. i'm sure a loving husband and a good father would do everything to be with his wife and children as soon as possible. pray and pray always. God knows everything. he hears your woes and soon you will be a happy family united together in a home.

and just like a miracle...he will come to realize he need to do all that to be with his family. God bless. don't lose hope. God loves you.

You have come to far in this process to abandon the ship now. If this is important to you for the sake of your children, then stay the course. It is very unfortunate you've had to take the lead role in getting this done.

I agree with one of the other posters, do not fight with your husband, even as frustrated as you are at this point. Just keep doing what needs to be done to get through this, and I know it is not easy having to drag him along the way. You have not come this far to give up now.

Keep your head up and stay in the process.

As previous posters have mentioned, make sure you take the I-864 with you to the interview. A friend of mine who recently went through his interview told me that the I-864 and the information contained on it is one of the most important things you will be asked about at the Consulate. Therefore, stay calm and have your husband mail you a copy. Just as others have said, do not give up, stay the course and see this through and I'm sure that you'll look back on this one day when you're all together and realize how glad you are that you never gave up. God Bless and all the best!

Absolutely. if the interview letter says bring it you better bring it. If the interview letter doesn't say bring it, you still better bring it. Why in the world anyone would not include a document just because they heard it wasn't needed is beyond me. this is way too important (or should be) to leave stuff like this to chance. I would take copies of every document ever submitted and if a copy was submitted then I would take the originals.

Hate to say it, but I think you may be in for a rocky road after your arrival here. I hope I'm wrong for your and the kids sake. good luck

...more than 10 years he kept on saying for us to wait til the petition gets approved...once a year he comes home spend time with his family ...he needs a co sponsor cz hes job right now isnt paying well unlike before he works as a manager at a big company which also a reason why he doesnt have time to fix the petition hes too busy..and when he lose his job thats the time he realize he needs me..lol.....cz im a nurse...but i owe it to him cz hes the one who sends me to school to finish my nursing degree...im just hoping he will realize how important the I864 is...and sends me one before sept 12....i dont wanna bother asking it from him over and over again..ive done my part already...he just need to print a copy of it and signed it and emailed it to me,...

Hey Journey...

Get through the interview, head to the States, and then let's see what happens...once you are here, there are all sorts of options open to you, and we'll all help you work through them. And let's hope there are no other surprises once you get to the embassy...this is messy, so come back if you need more help after the interview.

Bless you.

That is the right attitude to have, many times we have to play the game with the cards we are dealt. I am glad you feel better about your up coming interview. The only thing you can do is to have the documents ready according to the letter you have. You have too much work and effort invested to 'throw up your hands' now, the finish line is in sight.

Like one other poster mentioned, just get here and you will have other options that open up to you... not currently available to you. As a nurse, you will do very well here once you meet all requirements and get employed.

And that 10 year issue, that is a whole other conversation.
