I have sent out my I-130 and jam packed it meticulously with more than enough information and affidavits.

I've documented every single trip I've taken, and have taken many. I feel very confident that my visa app

is exactly what I need to show a legit relationship...

EXCEPT, that I did not include any photos of our civil marriage.

We were so rushed when we had to show up to the Civil Registry that we forgot our camera.

Now I'm worried that for this reason alone they'll give us trouble.

Any thoughts on this? Am I just being paranoid?

(Also, we will be having a religious marriage later on. Perhaps once this happens we can append these

photos to the application? It will have to be included in the NVC packet though - as we won't be ceremoniously

married for another 6 months or so)

Definitely paranoid !!!

CDJ likes to see pictures, but doesn't require them--just take along other pictures with the two of you together and with friends and family.

We also forgot a camera in our haste, and it hasn't mattered at all--so far. We have our interview in Costa Rica in a couple of weeks, and don't expect any trouble, and you shouldn't have any trouble in CDJ, either.

You should be fine my friend. As you are you REALLY jammed packed your package with enought evidence I dont see why the photos should be a issue. There are other great forms of evidence other than photos to prove a legit relationship. but for the next time i would reccommend sending them just in case.

Good luck , God Bless

Unfortunately photos are important and there is nothing you can do about that. As Magical suggested get some pictures taken of you and your spouse with some of your relatives/ friend and keep ready for interview time. Since you have strong evidence already packed, this may not be an issue.

Continuing relationship is what matters next to proof of marraige, so work on that. all the best.

I want to let you all know that each case is different, each consulate is different, each CO is different, and finally the circumstances under which you face your interview is different. Several factors play role in each case. It is therefore prudent to be ready with all the additional evidence you can gather and take to interview instead of only depending on experiences of others.

I personally would give some weightage to the experiences of others that have been to the consulate that I will be going to but I will be ready with all possible additional evidence. If it is asked for, I am ready else I am still happy that I get my visa with less or no questioning.

I would not call photos secondary evidence, as it tells the CO a lot about the relationship. Any two ppl can go and sign the register and get married marriage certificate would not say if the marriage is legit or sham.

Pics would - they got ppl around them, other ppl in the pic their expression etc can tell CO a lot.

In the case if the pics are missing you can't do much but just go with what you have, be prepared with any other pics you have from previous or after marriage trip or family functions etc.

You absolutely right - I have seen in the past, that a few of us get confused and start worrying, so I just wanted to make things a little more clear.

I hope and wish that we all receive visas without much trouble/ headache.

I have like, 2 wedding pictures because honestly, a camera was the last thing on our minds. I'm definitely taking other pictures of trips we have taken together, or just around town. I'm going to have other paperwork go along with those pictures. I don't think they would make a big deal about wedding pictures since they already have proof that you're married (marriage certificate). Please do take other proof with you though! You should be fine B-)

If you read the news reports about the fraud marriage rings, they did all kinds of wedding photo's. I think pictures are fine but with the correct documents you will have little trouble gettting approved without pics, particuarly when the marriage was a civil ceremony since rarely is a photographer employed in those types of weddings.

Great responses - settles my mind a bit.

Yeah, I included some awesome photos of my wife and I with her family and mine meeting up, as well as a very indicative collection of historical photos of our relationship (I.E. Engagement Ring) - and us in different cities at different times (landmarks). Just missed out on that civil marriage photo. =\

I was just worried that if I didn't show my civil marriage photo in the I-130, that would cause some hesitation by the visa app reviewer.

I'm not concerned about the actual interview - by then I'll have a ton more visits with wife as well as a possible religious ceremony under our belt.

Thanks for the responses again!
