This topic has probably been posted many times before, but alas here it is again. I just need some input. My packet is ready to be sent to the California Service Center because I live in Oregon. My fiancee lives in Argentina and is ready for the next step. Included in my packet are:

Petition and payment

(1) Copy of my US Birth Certificate

(1) Copy of original and original translated copy with letter of accuracy of Fiance's Argentine Birth Certificate

(2) Biographics for myself and fiancee. Signed and dated

Affidavit of Support with all supporting documents: ie: pay stubs, tax records, 401K, bank account summaries, etc.

Passport Photos for Me and my fiance

Many photos with names, date, people written on back, boarding passes, bus tickets, Western Union receipts, all pages and stamps of my passport, copy of the information pages of my fiance's Argentine passport.

Fiance Letter of Intent from me dated and signed.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you

Have you already filed the I-129F? That is the form that is sent to the Dallas Lockbox, then forwarded to the appropriate service center (CSC or VSC). You do not send a K-1 petition directly to the CSC, so I'm a little confused as to what you're talking about.

If you haven't sent in an I-129F, your list of documents above is wrong.

It's Amy writing...Are you just now submitting the I-129F petition for a K-1 fiance(e) visa? If so, you don't need the affidavit of support until the petition is approved. You don't need those documents until her interview at the US Consulate in Argentina. You'll send those documents to her and she'll take them with her to her interview along with all other supporting documents. Also, I would greatly advise including prints of emails and chat logs; me and Victor submitted a sampling of them from different periods of time over our relationship (we had hundreds of pages worth of stuff so it would have been too much for the I-129f - you'll need everything later at her interview in the US Consulate in Argentina). Include scanned copies of letters you sent each other in the mail, and copies of any phone bills you each might have from calling each other. Me and Victor use Skype to call each other on the phone, and Skype saves a log of your calls. We also, just to be safe, made screen captures of the websites of our mobile phone companies after logging into our accounts to show these phone numbers belonged to us and were in our names so whoever reviewing our packet will see we were in fact calling each other. These things all fall into "proof of an ongoing relationship." I think it wouldn't be very advisable not to include this supporting proof of an ongoing relationship, even if you have photos. Also, you need a fiancee letter of intent from her as well. There needs to be a signed and dated letter of intent from each of you, not just from you. The photos should be good. How many photos did you include? Best of luck to you!

Thanks guys and gals. I haven't sent anything out yet. Ok, so I will take out Affidavit of Support and just send it to her in Argentina. Also I do call her on Skype and will see if the records of my calls to her cell phone is on there. So what are are the basic things I need to send to the Service Center along with the payment. Thanks again

Just don't send it now, it's better if Affidavit will be not too old to the time of interview, because most likely interview will be in the beginning of 2012, and Embassy in Argentina can ask your fiancee to bring Affidavit with taxes for 2011 year which now you of course can't include to Affidavit. At least, it's how it works in Russia usually. [i's Victor from Russia writing]

Many photos with names, date, people written on back, boarding passes, bus tickets, Western Union receipts, all pages and stamps of my passport, copy of the information pages of my fiance's Argentine passport.

Like everyone has said you need to do a lot of reading here with the 129f petition K1 guides. You don't send off 134 now you do that later and then send it to fiancee. You also send 129f to Dallas lock box not California. You need a letter of intent from both of you so you are not ready to send this off yet. Please read the guides.

Thanks for the reply and the info on Dallas Lockbox, because I was about to send it to USCIS Laguna Niguel, CA. This forum is particularly rewarding. Thanks for your input

They just need your birth certificate, right now. Dont send hers.

They want your info not hers:

Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport issued with a validity of at least 5 years or a copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate (front and back). This is used to establish citizenship.

Hers they will want later after NOA2 has been approved. Keep a translation you will needed it for AOS.

Good luck
