Again, this subject has been discussed over and over.

One very good reason against making it mandatory to provide details to be able to use the site is that some people come here without a single idea of what they're doing or where to start. I've seen many threads where a person has read the guides and doesn't understand what their options are and they're asking about K3 or K1, only to be told DCF is an option. It is ONLY because they can ask that they learn. What happens if you shut off their ability to communicate because they need to fill in basic data?

I can tell what most people would do. Slap in whatever answers get them to be able to post, even if they're wrong. If you're looking for data integrity you've just lost it right there before you begin.

Otherwise they'll just go to another site to get the info.

Seriously, it's not up to you or me or anyone else to monitor how others use the board. Use it for what it is, make suggestions as you see it, but understand that it's doubtful you'll change others habits or actions. :)

Electricity is really just organized lightning.

Agree. I was posting on here before I sent out my petition and had no data to enter into a timeline. Posting allowed to get good information and ensure my petition was ready to go.

I think if you do not touch your timeline or sign into VJ after 30 days you should be deleted automatically

There are those of us who don't yet have a timeline to speak of....I won't be applying for a visa until 2009. And as Lorelle said many take a VJ break while adapting to a new life before dealing with AOS.

Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas! Maybe some people are not very literate on a computer. Does that mean they should be denied or hindered from being with the person they love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Let us make a law. Only computer literate people should have over seas spouses. Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas! My God, does anyone here know what the the definition of a sociopath is?
