Rin received her NOA on 8/23, but has yet to receive her FP notice. I have checked her case using the "Application Number" at the top of the NOA and it says the application is under review. However, today I noticed another NBC* number at the bottom of the letter under the USCIS office address. Entered it, and it came back saying a FP notice was sent on September 2, 2011. Can someone check their NOA and let me know if they have a number at the bottom of the NOA? Does it match the one at the top? The one at the bottom of mine ends in 766? Same as others or different?

Can someone check their NOA and let me know if they have a number at the bottom of the NOA? Does it match the one at the top? The one at the bottom of mine ends in 766? Same as others or different?

My bottom one matches my top one. They both start with NBC* and end in 766. Also, my number was mentioned in the email I got before I ever got my paper NOA.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

OK, that was funny when I did a google translate - "Hello, you pour" - of course Rin translated it as "Sawasdee, Khun Rin"

Called USCIS. The top number was correct. The one at the bottom was for a gentleman name Mohammad. USCIS rep was puzzled as to why it was on her receipt and said the two numbers were supposed to be the same. Gave us additional info on the status of Rin's application and said she was in line for her biometrics but that a date had not been set yet. Told us to wait until after 9/22 (30 days after the NOA) and if we have not received the appt letter to call back.

Did anybody else notice that nobody has received Interview letters yet? This is quite odd and might hint that we could be looking at another waiting game here (surprise!). A lot of the July filers saw their Interview letters show up a week after the FP date. One even got the invitation one day BEFORE the FP date. We are half way through September and the early filers haven't seen anything yet, some are still waiting for their FP appointment. Quite disheartening ...

Hi everyone,

Just placed a service request over the phone with USCIS, for my biometrics appointment. It is really ridiculous and frustrating to say the least, 35 days since they received my application and they still didn't schedule me for an appointment. The lady on the phone was telling me that biometric scheduling is under the discretion of the ASC, meaning it depends on how busy they are, a bunch of #######!! last year i went for my fingerprints when I had my removal of conditions, went on a thursday at 1pm, and I was the only one in the whole place, and all workers were just chilling as if it was a holiday. I really find it embarassing for USCIS to have applicants place service requests for biometrics, its a simple waste of time. ASC centers open 5 days a week from 8am to 4pm, and it takes less than 10 min to process an applicant, so unless the whole borough of queens is adjusting status or getting naturalized, I find it hard to believe that they're too busy to schedule people who are waiting beyond processing time. Anyway, my belief is my case as with other unlucky ones, is on some incompetent officer's desk who enjoys slacking off until customer service sends him a message telling him to wake up and do his job. God!! cant wait to forget the existence of this agency on earth.

Bourne25: try a walk-in?

I think a lot depends on the USCIS Office the applicant attends- maybe the July filers just have offices that are more on the ball, or less busy. There is only one recent filer at my office (Fort Smith, AR), he's a June filer and it took him 2 months from fingerprints to interview. I had my biometrics on Thursday and was placed "in line for interview scheduling" Monday, so hopefully will get an interview before Thanksgiving. I am in no hurry really, as long as I am a citizen by the May primaries.

Did not get FP letter either, opened a service request last Fri. Was told the same BS about how busy ASCs are these days.

Hi everyone,

Just placed a service request over the phone with USCIS, for my biometrics appointment. It is really ridiculous and frustrating to say the least, 35 days since they received my application and they still didn't schedule me for an appointment. The lady on the phone was telling me that biometric scheduling is under the discretion of the ASC, meaning it depends on how busy they are, a bunch of #######!! last year i went for my fingerprints when I had my removal of conditions, went on a thursday at 1pm, and I was the only one in the whole place, and all workers were just chilling as if it was a holiday. I really find it embarassing for USCIS to have applicants place service requests for biometrics, its a simple waste of time. ASC centers open 5 days a week from 8am to 4pm, and it takes less than 10 min to process an applicant, so unless the whole borough of queens is adjusting status or getting naturalized, I find it hard to believe that they're too busy to schedule people who are waiting beyond processing time. Anyway, my belief is my case as with other unlucky ones, is on some incompetent officer's desk who enjoys slacking off until customer service sends him a message telling him to wake up and do his job. God!! cant wait to forget the existence of this agency on earth.

HOLY COW , JUST CHECKED MY NOA, 2 different numbers too!!!

My numbers are different as well. The top one has "*", the bottom has "$".

A different forum had a thread a bout this where is was suggested the lower number is your fee payment number/confirmation etc.
